I have been going back and forth on this. What is everybody's thoughts on this option? It is only $1350 in the US so I figured I would add it, but I also don't drive super aggressive and most driving is quick trips with a lot of in and out of the car. When does RAS really shine?

From what I’ve read the main advantage is the tighter turning circle in say car parks etc. A few reviews praised it at speed but others criticised it so nothing definitive view on the aggressive driving style.

I‘ve ordered it as reduces the turning circle on the Cayenne to 0.5m less than my Macan without it.

I have not seen any negative reviews. RAS accomplishes:
  • Smaller turning radius at parking speeds.
  • Slightly quicker turn at low to moderate speeds.
  • More stability, less twitchy at highway speeds.
RAS is quite mature technology. Not high cost while being not too complex, heavy or power hungry.

I have it on my current ICE Cayenne S Coupe. It makes U turns possible into the inner lane. I had it on my Taycan, and spec’d it for my incoming Cayenne Coupe EV and 911T.

It seems to be one of those "you may as well get it" options... I've spec'd it and have it on all other vehicles for the manoeuvrability

No brainer on this size of vehicle - tick the box.

Most noticeable benefit is low speed manoeuvring - parking and will shave 1 metre off the turning circle.

I had it on both my Taycans and felt it was a worthy option.

Degree of turn is around 5 degrees which you may struggle to see visually. No wild party tricks either that you may have seen on various Chinese brands.

Probably one of the few options I would tick without question. Love it.

I totally agree with everyone above.

I’ve had several Porsche loaners without RAS, including the Cayenne, Taycan, and Macan. You could really feel the difference, not in a good way at all.
