I’ve been told that due to the production line being shared with ICE’s, thus cars virtually being produced to order, that no discounts are generally available.
Seems they learnt from the Macan EV, that building to keep the production line efficient rather than satisfying the true needs of the...
It’s very unusual for car to go into production without a VIN being available. Early orders in the UK didn’t / still don’t have access to TYD. In my case I ordered just before the freeze date on the 1st May, received the VIN on the 15th and car entered production on the 11th June. My order took...
I have struck very lucky, as my dealer is exceptional in sales and service. As I can’t access TYD the sales guy calls me regularly and emails updates - even if nothing has changed.
I had a range issue with my Macan and they sorted that out whilst I had a curtesy car- they offered a Taycan but...
Hopefully, as it is taking the technology derived from the Porsche Cayenne Electric it is confirmation that Porsche are happy to install it in a car probably well north of £ 200k and to invariably ’discerning clients’ !.
KP - There are posts about the early UK cars weren't available in TYD's. In my case the dealer keeps me constantly updated. My car entered production on the 6th June and came out on the 2nd July (I suspect it was waiting for wheels). I ordered and paid my deposit on the 1st May and my Coupe is...
You can thank your president for levying 25% tariffs on Porsches. If you take the tariff off, how does the pricing compare then ?
I always wonder why say BMW & Tesla fans come to a forum which is for owners of cars they think are uncompetitive, lack latest tech etc. Those sort of views would be...
7 years ago in my BMW you could set a location for the front cameras to turn on. So at a junction with limited sight lines, you could set that as a location and as you stopped at it, the cameras came on and you could see if any cars were approaching. A simple idea but very useful.
The same BMW...
CHP - the roundabout and severe corner function is in the Macan - the car does slow after the icon appears in the HUD. it Is a function in the Macan you need to turn on so in your Macan it probably wasn’t.
I think in the UK the reg plate counts for more than Porsche Model Year. If Matt doesn’t put a personal plate on then in future years a 76 plate will have more value than a 26 one.
I suspect most buyers of used Porsche SUV value the later plate.
Saw these articles about today’s announcement of Porsche wanting to move production of all Cayennes back to Leipzig. There is no timescale and the German labour force needs to agree a cut in pay for it to happen. VW are looking to shed 100,000 jobs.
That‘ll keep up morale in Bratislava ...
Matt - the only thing the VIN gives is you can check the options are correct. My dealer tried to send a TYD invite last Thursday and couldn't using my VIN so some early UK cars are still excluded. The only Actual date I have is that on the 11th June the car entered production - so it seems it...
That was my fear having seen some videos - the Macan has a really useful centre ‘box’ and very accessible whilst driving. I even thought of removing the cup holders until I realised they won’t fit in the glovebox - so where to keep them for the occasional use. It looks like there is storage...
Here is the Good To Know online owners manual. I think this is the page - apologies if you already have seen this - this is what's it's supposed to do

My car entered build on the 6th June and still hasn’t been completed. My dealer thought it may be the alloy wheels, although the only delay acknowledged by Porsche is as you say the 22” Sport Tech.
Matt-Taycan swapped wheels from Sport Tech to another 22” and was then told of a delay due to...
