    My 2027 Cayenne Electric

I suspect it will be like the Macan when it launched and not a lot changed in the few short months to MY change. Enjoy the nap!

    My 2027 Cayenne Electric

Way too early for a Black Edition - sales need to taper off before that happens and isn't guaranteed either. GTS won't appear for a while yet - at least a year / 18 months out would be my guess. Comfort Access / Entry is standard on all Cayenne variants.

Sport Design Exterior (Gloss Black) — Configurator vs. Reality: What finish do you actually get?

The standard colour is Vulcano Grey Metallic before adding any Offroad or Sports Design kit as documented in the configurator standard equipment description. Common colour used across the VAG group for diffusers and wheel arches and a shame that it isn't body colour matched given the price point.

Sport Design Exterior (Gloss Black) — Configurator vs. Reality: What finish do you actually get?

I think it's the same but different. Standard finish is Vulcano Grey Metallic (not Valadium) and Sports Design changes the finish to Gloss Black. The option is much more expensive (£1200) on the S which suggests more plastic and painted bits so check pictures of front, side and rear to see...

    My 2027 Cayenne Electric

I posted a screenshot on one of the other threads a few months back as I had captured this when they were an option. £1632. https://www.cayenneevforum.com/forum/threads/electric-door-option-missing-from-configurator.29546/post-442040 RSE - Rear Seat Entertainment (screens). Much more...

    UK build dates

That's part of the problem with dealers now sitting with over specced stock some of which will become demonstrators in 3 months time. The number of Macan EV GTS cars which became demo or Porsche Approved in a few short months since launch is an eye opener - 25 currently and all with ££££s off...

    UK build dates

I was advised 3 months back to order for Jan'27 as the allocations were already thin on the ground at my dealership. Same hype when Taycan launched so will settle down end Q4 I imagine.

Test drive SUV base model - Indecision!

Are you also sourcing a winter tyre & rim set? Suspect the configurator will also tick over to MY27 shortly which may entice you to other options before your order is locked.

Test drive SUV base model - Indecision!

The 3D view is not the only view if as per other Porsches. I have it on my 911 and rarely use this feature. All the 2D views are present in addition.

Test drive SUV base model - Indecision!

Great colour choice. I would advise the 3D Park Assist if only for the kerb detection given the large rims. Some of the other features may prove useful. The rest of the interior options are very much personal choice but I wouldn't spend money on RaceTex - paticularly the roof when you have...

Test drive SUV base model - Indecision!

RAS is available across the Macan EV range including RWD base. Only the rear motor on both S and Turbo (and GTS and Turbo S when they come) has oil cooled stator copper windings. PAR requires significant juice from the HV battery base model has lower power. Current excuse is a deliberate...

Test drive SUV base model - Indecision!

Did you try it in Sport and Sport Plus (if Sport Chtono was present) where throttle response is sharper and full power on tap? It is heavy for sure and would concur that the Coupé wins on the rear style stakes. Downside no opening panoramic roof amongst other things.

Driver Over Charging - when will this be available?

You may have missed it but this was mentioned on the configurator since launch and that part of the setup is market dependant. Three elements to it.

[Competition] - the BMW iX5 M60 looks strong

Love to see 5 adults shoehorned into a Cayenne or iX5 and their luggage - it's really a 4 seater with an occasional 5th.

[Competition] - the BMW iX5 M60 looks strong

That would make it an HGV if 3.5T. I've read it's around 2.9T unladen which is a lot but a 141kWh battery will tempt many with range disorders.

[Competition] - the BMW iX5 M60 looks strong

Someone else has had the same thought on pricing https://www.bmwblog.com/2026/07/03/2027-bmw-x5-fully-loaded-configuration/

[Competition] - the BMW iX5 M60 looks strong

Cayenne EV 300Kg lighter (smaller battery), higher towing capacity, rear load space seems better as there is only manual release of rear seats in BMW. Cosmetically both are in a race to be the ugliest, cooler front lights, DRLs and indicators on BMW, not sure about the awkward looking screens in...

Will the Cayenne be getting new E-shift ?

Hard to imagine that in time it won't be offered. No indication on price to be paid for the privilege either. Now described on the configurator for the Taycan but all pricing is missing (suspect price rise imminent) and has a pre-requisite of either Bose or Burmester and Sports Chrono. Not...

    RAS or No RAS

No brainer on this size of vehicle - tick the box. Most noticeable benefit is low speed manoeuvring - parking and will shave 1 metre off the turning circle. I had it on both my Taycans and felt it was a worthy option. Degree of turn is around 5 degrees which you may struggle to see...
