Given there will be both ICE and EV the platform will be better thought out than that of the Macan EV where Porsche have effectively scored an own goal (and dropped the ball). We now wait for the new Macan ICE or indeed a new model to plug this gaping hole.
Interior looks to have the Taycan...
I would skip the ICE Macan at this point (discontinued in EU countries now due to EU rule changes on cybersecurity which Porsche won't address on such an old model now) and go Macan EV if the wait time is acceptable.
There is no comparison between a Macan GTS and a Taycan 4S - the latter wins...
I'm still in shock that Porsche feel it necessary to charge for a rear wiper (yes, it's optional). I thought that was the preserve of 911s once upon a time
Shocked at the price hike too and there is nowhere to hide with the ICE version still on sale.
Perhaps there will be a GT or Turbo S...
They look remarkably similar to my eyes (lights a little different).
I saw the Macan EV in full camo in Edinburgh and it looked quite like the Cayenne EV - side view, rear view, false exhaust pipes etc. The Cayenne being a slightly larger vehicle (not my by much if you check current dimensions)...

Q8 e-tron offers up to 114 kwH battery (gross, 106 kWh net) -so we can potentially assume that if the Macan EV can't quite manage that then the Cayenne EV surely will.
So one for the Admin I think.
My post was in the Macan EV forum and not the Taycan one (for this reason) but clearly it is clickable from here.
You can unregister from the Macan EV forum (I think we may all have been auto added) as the nuclear option.
I have both - wife prefers her Macan T over the Taycan GTS ST (I know!) - prefers the height and ease of ingress / egress. Will switch to Macan EV after a few years once the bugs are ironed out.
This is the 2nd Macan we've owned the T is new and we had a Turbo when originally launched some...
These will be WLTP (lab based numbers) which are as much use as a chocolate teapot and generally unobtainable in the real world.
Id 7 may have a single motor and or be much lower powered and so I would expect tis efficiency to be greater than the Taycan. May also have smaller wheels with better...
