I stopped using P&C on my Taycan because the handshake took too long. Instead I got the Porsche key fob RFID and had that in my pocket. I found it easier than standing there for around one minute waiting for the charge to start.
When you say "plug & charge", do you mean Porsche Charging Service? "Plug & Charge" is just a method of starting a charge. The price is no different whether you use "Plug&Charge", the Porsche app, the PCS card, or an RFID key fob linked to your PCS account. They're the four ways to start a...
OK, no worries, thanks for clarifying. I'm on my fourth Porsche EV, so I'm well aware of PCS, but it's no big deal. I just wondered where you were getting Gridserve at 39p/kWh, because I knew it as 59p/kWh. 👍
Thanks for the heads-up. That's a bit crap. Was looking forward to having the V8 sound option. I assumed it was like the Taycan where the base models and the Turbo had the same sound, with only the GTS having a unique sound.
Are you saying that even if you spec Porsche Electric Sports Sound on the base Cayenne, the sound in Sports Plus will be a V6 sound rather than the V8 sound?
Yes they do. I have a Dutch-based Porsche Charging Service, but use the IONITY chargers via my PCS contract mainly in the UK.
Old Charging Service prices:
UK = 30p/kWh (35ct/kWh)
EU = 33ct/kWh
New Charging Service Plus prices:
UK = 39p/kWh (46ct/kWh)
EU = 39ct/kWh
Direct IONITY prices with...
I sat in and saw the new Cayenne Electric today for the first time. A few things I noted.
The boot doesn't seem as big as the numbers suggest. Not that it isn't big. Just that it isn't as big as you'd think.
The central display screen also doesn't look as big as it appears in the photos and...
In Dutch spec it's almost €20,000 to upgrade to the "S", and that's with the exact comparable spec. I'm a sucker for paying extra for things I don't need and buy cars with my heart rather than head, but despite that it's a hard "no" from me.
You can see it at 10:03 in this video.
And at 23:20 in this video you can see the space. This video is the base Cayenne, but it has the BOSE specced.
No, I didn't.
Er, I'm not worried about it. I'm just answering the question from @rotortalk as to whether the smaller boot space in the Turbo is due to a bigger motor. ;)
As for the Macan...I know. I owned a Turbo Electric until two weeks ago. I made use of the tiny space under the boot floor beside the...
Each indiviual country decide what they'll offer as standard, depending on nuances in that market. The UK buyers are not getting "free" equipment. It's bundled in as part of the standard list price. If anything they're being forced to pay for something they don't want. Had the UK list price been...
