Bramble/Blackberry was my interior choice on my first Taycan, and it looks stunning. I would have gone for it many times since, but I also like to try different options. It generally looks a lot darker in real life compared to most photos.
What complicates things is Porsche need to sell EVs to meet their EU emissions fleet average, so even if they have a queue of people out the door asking for ICE Cayennes, they would have to balance that demand with the fines they'd have to pay for selling less EVs.
Phones are targets because they're easy to steal, and crucially, easy to sell on quickly, unlike cars. It's got little to do with trying to get to your secure details and bank accounts.
At the risk of going seriously off-topic, your argument is flawed, because the decision to put a sign on Oxford Street warning of phone thieves, tells us nothing about how likely you are or not to get your phone snatched in the UK, which is what I was replying to, and more about what the...
Yeah, it's definitely a recent video. They referred to the range test they did with a prototype last year, but they said they would do another with this one. Also, the girl in it is a new girlfriend who he wasn't with last year.
I think there seems to be a disagreement on what is meant by "bold". In my experience, a "bold" colour is one which is bright, unusual, and stands out from the crowd. Madeira Gold fits that description. Algarve, a deep, dark blue, is not what I would call "bold".
I had this on my Macan a lot, and it sounds like the window needs recalibrating. Follow that procedure and I suspect it will solve it. Of course, you'll probably have the issue repeat itself in a few weeks or so.
Correct. Only the Turbo has the V8. It sounds great in person from outside the car.
The other models have a V6 sound, but on my test drive a month ago, I was quite impressed by it, and it didn't seem too inferior to the Turbo.
I can still change my spec, but just looking at my spec on the configurator now, the only colour that would work with Mystic Green would be black, but it still doesn't work really. I think it looks good on Algarve Blue.
Congratulations. Lovely colour and spec.
I would never have specced the Porsche stripes, yet somehow they work and actually look pretty good. Fair play for having the balls to do it.
I'm currently debating whether to spec the 22" Sport Techno rims as you have, or with Turbonite.
Strictly speaking, we should be comparing net prices, before VAT, as that is completely out of Porsche's control. The VAT is a sales tax that you pay to the government, and Porsche don't see that money. The UK has lower VAT than a lot of EU countries, so it would close the gap.
I'm not trying...
The EU is more than just Sweden.
You said "the EU is much more expensive than the UK", and you quoted figures of 15-20% higher. This isn't true.
Checking various EU countries, such as Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, will show you this.
Luxembourg, for example:
Base price Lux...
That isn't true.
But it's not actually true. Add the fact that discounts of 8-10% are readily available on the continent, whereas in the UK they're harder to come by, makes the prices close.
Your experience mirrors that of mine in the Netherlands, and to be honest, my experience with all dealers from all manufacturers over the last 25 years in the UK and on the continent. This is the second Porsche dealer I've used in the Netherlands, the first one of which I gave up on after...
