Did you find a Panamera or Taycan with AR at any nearby dealership so you could try it yourself?

My understanding is that AR is impressive, but it can make the car feel less “real” due to all the systems assisting the driving. It becomes more of an augmented experience rather than something purely driver-focused. If that doesn’t matter much to you, you’ll probably enjoy it. It’s still an exceptional experience, but you as the driver are a bit more removed from the equation.

- Also keep in mind that it cannot be turned off.

Still haven't experienced it but ive decided to go for it... Concluded that the "real/focused" driving experience is probably more important in a Taycan. I've had the Taycan experience so definitley not so important to me in a Cayenne

Not sure, Autogefuehl video mentioned it can be turned off. This it what I found on the internet:

Key Takeaways for Managing Active Ride:
  • Toggle Features: In the PCM, you can activate or deactivate Active Cornering Dynamics and Active Acceleration/Braking Comfort.
  • Drive Modes: Selecting Sport or Sport Plus disables the extreme active comfort features (like cornering lean) in favor of maximum flatness and performance handling.
  • Easy Entry: The feature that raises the car for entry/exit can also be turned off.
  • Jack Mode: To prevent the active system from interfering during service or tire changes, "Jack Mode" must be activated, similar to conventional air suspension systems.

Re the post above that Active Ride cannot be turned off. It can in a Taycan (YT videos showing how easily it can be done either a single PCM click, or some parts left on, others turned off.

I would please like that comment that AR can not be turned off to be re-evaluated, or maybe Porsche decided in the Cayenne to have it so in complete contraction to its off-able in the Taycan.

If that is true it would be a game changer in my opinion. I would option AR in a heartbeat!
