We have very limited input, even less hard data on what is it like to drive an “S.” Perhaps the most on-point comment is:

CarandDriver said:
Even the mid-tier 657-hp Cayenne S Coupe Electric we drove, which wasn't equipped with Porsche Active Ride suspension, kept its hulking mass flat around corners. It's a breathtakingly rapid machine, capable of bullying far less practical sports cars on the autobahn in its higher trims.

Any member here driven one please and could comment how lively it feels accelerating other than in launch control (say in the 20-60 MPH realm most of us do our daily driving in?

If you have, would you please compare it to other know EV’s, say compared to a Macan EV S, GTS, or Turbo? Or comparing it to a Taycan 2025+ 4S?

Any other automedia cogent evaluations? Thank you.

Another “secondary” data point starts at 12:55 in the below Auto Zeitung video in which we watch the speed quickly accelerate from 94+ km (58.4 MPH) to 214 km (138MPH) when he activates the 10 second Push-to-Pass.

There's alot at play because traction limits acceleration in these high power monsters. The Cayennes S has 650 lb-ft torque without push to pass and launch control. With launch control torque is 800 lb-ft. So 0-60 mph will be about 4.0 s without and 3.6 s with. So fast and damn fast.

The UK version of Car Magazine reviews all 3. It concludes that the Base delivers more than enough power for most driving, the S is the car to have and the Turbo‘s acceleration is far more than most drivers will need nor desire for the £ 30k differential.

I think the configurator will give a good idea of what you are looking for in the 50 to 74 mph acceleration. As it doesn’t refer to “push to pass” I think the Cayenne‘s figure is normal acceleration. The Cayenne S is

I have Cayenne S on order. The reason was PAR, which - after some reviews - I'm not sure if it's a must have.

I'm driving 2022 Taycan 4S. Last week I had a Porsche Experience EV + city tour. Base and Turbo. Turbo is damn fast, base is much slower than Taycan 4S.

Even the base Cayenne looks as really fast car when looking at 0-100 km/h only. But look at the 0-200 km/h:

Trim | 0-100 | 0-200 | 100-200 (my calculation)
Base | 4,8 sec | 18,4 | 13,6
S___ | 3,8 sec | 12,4 | 8,6
Turbo | 2,5 sec | 7,5 | 5,0

Huge difference is 100-200.

Cayenne S is on those numbers peer to current Taycan 4S. Which is doing 200 km/h in 12,2 sec.

I just looked up in the UK configurator (which has more performance info than the U.S. one) and the Cayenne EV S’s acceleration “Acceleration 49-74 mph (80-120km/h)” is identical to the Macan EV Turbo @ 2.0 seconds.

Base Cayenne is on par with base Taycan. Turbo is insane; it has the same 0-100km/h as 911 turbo s. I had Taycan 4S in the past, and Cayenne Turbo is on another level. I've attached Turbo with push-to-pass.

Yes - you would expect a base to be slower than a S or you wouldn’t buy an S. In the UK, other than on a track (who regularly tracks a SUV ?) accelerating from 60 mph to 120 mph would end up with your very fast S being parked up for 6 months !

Seriously, the S & Turbo’s are for drivers looking for performance, the base not so. It will be interesting to see, once we have real world drivers, what the real world range is. I suspect using the available acceleration and push to pass will have a real effect.

I suspect long term, the Base may outsell the S and Turbo. It is slightly faster than the ICE Cayenne S and is £ 10k cheaper with far more standard equipment - Air, Chrono

Base is enough for most markets like UK, Nordic, France. For Germany, Poland and some other Eastern European countries highway is a place you can drive 200 km/h. Autside of Germany it not allowed but possible ;) Coming from Taycan 4S, Base Cayenne is not powerful enough. IMO.

Base is very well equipped and it’s a good package imo. Same with Turbo - it is very well equipped, includes leather interior with stitching, top seats, Bose, HD Matrix, PTV, external details black or turbonite, etc. More than 20k euro in options. S is to expensive for its package, gives you no andditional equipement, only more power. And possibility to order PAR.

These posts confirm why Porsche offers 3 different power versions - which is what this forum is all about - differing views and needs but all being relevant
