Hi all,

I put down my deposit about a month ago and still haven’t got a build slot. It’s for a Turbo (21” wheels, so those shouldn’t be causing the delay).

The dealer warned me there’s supposedly high demand for the Turbo and that it’ll be hard to get a build slot quickly.

What’s the expected ETA for a build slot these days?

Cheers!

As the electric is being built on the same line as the ICE then slot allocation will be a bit of a lottery. If the ICE models are more popular than the EV then logically they will allocate them more and quicker slots.

But next year? That seems unreasonable…

Are talking next calendar year or next model year? I think it is the latter and 2027 new allocations could be literally starting months from now.

My dealership sold out all variant allocations 2 months ago.

Remember this is half way through the year effectively and so not a full year allocation is possible.

I am interested in a base Cayenne EV and was told the earliest delivery would now be April 2027.

Regional variations apply of course.

Calendar. You can place a deposit but no delivery'until next year. Allocations are thin on the ground.

So this is due to the high demand of the EV and/or ICE, or a new model slower production ramp up? .. I would not mind slow delivery and long wait, if they take their time, making sure that quality assurance is good.

Not much difference between MY 24 and 25 (some options added later), Macan EV got slight refresh with GTS release so that would be MY28 likely.

I’m really puzzled by allocations being closed for the next 7 months. I ordered last week and was given a delivery of 10th July. It seems they opened firm allocations very recently but yet now saying there aren’t any available for the rest of the year. Why trumpet the launch and then only allow a low level of purchases. Surely they’re not selling so many ICE’s that Bratislava can’t cope with producing EV’s as well.

I’m wondering if combining the EV and ICE line hasn’t gone as smoothly as expected or severe supply chain issues - for the first time they are producing their own EV batteries and the Cayenne is the first model to have them - Located at the "Porsche Smart Battery Shop" in Horná Streda, Slovakia ?

I hope I’m wrong !

They changed their philosophy returning back to produce on demand. With so many Taycans becoming available during model refresh and plenty of Macan EV to choose from, Taycan resell values significantly declined and Macan needed to be sold at a discount. This damaged the brand significantly.

My dealership took deposits last year in advance of allocations and physical launch. Many others will have done the same.

The production year is not a full 12 months but aound 6 given when the launch was made.

My dealership sold around 40 cars which ultimately ate up their allocations for the year.

Similar happened with the Taycan.
