Good info here in the video. Coincidentally there was an inside EV’s article I read earlier today with our best estimated range info so far.

Inisdeev’s said:
The newly introduced S is the longest-range model in the lineup, with a WLTP-estimated 405 miles (653 kilometers) on a full charge, nearly 7 miles (11 km) more than the base model and 18 miles (30 km) more than the Cayenne Turbo. None of the electric Cayenne models has an EPA range rating yet.

2.7 mile / kWH from what I've read elsewhere is not "spectacular" efficiency (my Taycans achieved better but range sucked due to low net usable) however saved by the large battery to provide 300 miles + (more if on 20" rims) of range will satisfy most IMHO.

How is the infrastructure in the “best EV-adapted” states in general?

Scandinavia might be a bit of an outlier, but if your car has a WLTP range of 500 km or more, you’re typically fine. Chargers are widely available, so real-world consumption becomes less of a concern. Europe (especially EU countries) is also very well equipped overall.

I had assumed the US was at a similar level of development, meaning range wouldn’t be as critical there either. Not entirely sure how things compare in the UK, though.

Depends if one plans ahead of course. We have taken very successful EV road trips in our Macan EV. The newer EA 350 KW chargers worked very well on every trip for us In the Pacific Northwest. Of course if one goes in the middle of nowhere one has to super plan ahead.

UK is not bad but tails off the more rural you are. The issue is the cost of public charging and until recentl world events was more expensive per mile. Home charging remains (for now as "cheap as chips").

NA will be reasonably well served in major conurbations. Remember that in NA EV uptake lags behind most key countries not helped by a person of dubious mental capacity at the helm. Recently paying Total Energies $1bn not to develop two offshore windfarms is a stark example of that.

Do Porsche owners in the UK not get the Porsche Charging Service included for the first three years? We do, and the prices for public charging are "low" with the discount (around £20 at most for a 10–80% charge). Or perhaps the discount still is not enough for the set prices in the UK?

Yes, we have the card. It's about 35-40 GBP to charge as compared to 7 GBP for home charging (with car tariff). Currently super competitive, I assume highway petrol station are hitting 2 GBP/l for Diesel.

Yes we do - it's a worldwide offering - not many Ionity locations in Scotland.

Was cheaper before the new subscription service was introduced after the "subsidised" period ends.

Fixed price for non Ionity as well. Slightly more expensive but still discounted by around 30p (some charge more than 80p). Used it a lot for my trip to the Lake District.

Yes they do. I have a Dutch-based Porsche Charging Service, but use the IONITY chargers via my PCS contract mainly in the UK.

Old Charging Service prices:

UK = 30p/kWh (35ct/kWh)
EU = 33ct/kWh

New Charging Service Plus prices:

UK = 39p/kWh (46ct/kWh)
EU = 39ct/kWh

Direct IONITY prices with the biggest discounted subscription:

UK = 46p/kWh (54ct/kWh)
NL = 43ct/kWh
France = 33ct/kWh

Direct IONITY prices PAYG via the app:

UK = 77p/kWh (91ct/kWh)
NL = 72ct/kWh
France = 55ct/kWh

The beauty of nuclear energy (France 70% nuclear power hence the lower prices)
