Would still take the Taycan or the Audi over the Tesla. Can’t bear the way it looks. Lol

There’s just no comparison! It’s a rice burner, Porsche is in its own league. Lol

Why wouldn't they use a Turbo S sedan? That extra CT weight is effectively like adding another passenger! Prob wouldn't be enough but better to see as like-to-like as possible.

But, TBH, irrelevant as the Taycan so much better in so many (and really relevant) ways than the Camry... oops, sorry, the Tesla :)

EDIT: Made comments w/o actually looking at vid - so looked and indeed he makes the pt re weight - my bad! :)

Ok but it’s still awesome how effortlessly the Tesla pulls, even from a rolling start (yes yes stopping, handling, interior, etc etc).

And I mean it’s just cool to see. That used to be what ICE super cars would do to insane/ludicrous/whatever EV after the initial launch….the carbon wrapped motors have really changed things in the car. But still 100% just a party trick

The CT weighs just 25kg (55 pounds) more, only an extra 1.1% over the sedan. The difference might even be less than that if the sedan has the optional pano roof.

When you just add 1020hp to a 2011 car with no other R&D.

TL;DR due to negative camber, tires wear out after 5k miles which you can't see unless you remove the wheel. Comments section tells stories of tire blow outs while driving.

Also $20k track pack should be standard for safety, instead it's an add on.

CF wrapped motor has been around for a while. It's expensive and there are more effective methods. Look at Lucids motors.

Someone I know in the EV motor development space was telling me
Mercedes Benz has developed a 150k rpm motor for EVs.
There are more high performance motors coming to the market soon.

Indeed, it is an easy way to compare completely irrelevant (to most) performance statistics because it requires zero driver skill.
I think you are underplaying the skill required......

They do need to be able to stamp on a pedal and keep their arms straight for a few seconds, without getting bored.
