Is it only me who’s a bit underwhelmed by all the reviews? My only takeaway was that the Turbo almost makes your internal organs fly out of your body during launch control 😂

I sat in and saw the new Cayenne Electric today for the first time. A few things I noted.

The boot doesn't seem as big as the numbers suggest. Not that it isn't big. Just that it isn't as big as you'd think.

The central display screen also doesn't look as big as it appears in the photos and videos.

The central storage area in between the front seats is big, but not practical. There is no actual place with a cover to store items like there is in my Macan. It's bizarre.

Other than that, it feels a very special place once in the driving seat. The displays are crisp and feel very modern.

First two reviews I read were from Motor1 and PistonHeads and they raved about the steering feel and handling. Also said the software and utility of the screen were top notch.

I too feel the center console is an abomination. Porsche is a leader in shyte interior packaging. For me it's the price to pay for spirited handling which is a rarity these days.

The center console feels excessively deep with no way to organize smaller items — everything just disappears into the void. Hoping someone comes up with an insert or divider accessory to make better use of that space.

Exactly my experience from today.

I was surprised and disappointed to learn that on a Cayenne S that the front fascia’s air curtain perimeter remains a dull black plastic even if one were to spec every available option for it (including with either the gloss black package and the visible carbon fiber exterior package). Only for the Turibo does the air curtain surroundsremains dull surround glossy. This is what it looks like on the entry and the S models.

All the reviews are obsessed with the Active Ride. Have i now got to spend another £6,799? Does anyone have real-world experience with it?

A couple weeks ago I was able to ride in my brother's Taycan 4S black edition optioned w active ride and it was a game changer. Insanely smooth and composed over uneven and broken pavement, as well as over railroad tracks. Being in Chicago where the roads are terrible I noticed a huge difference in comfort without sacrificing any sporty or engaging driving.

Thomas from Autogefuhl wasn't. He preferred it better when he was on that non-turbo model.

Yeah, it really comes down to personal preference. It might be a “game changer,” but as I’ve heard many times, it can feel a bit unnatural, almost more like a computer game than an actual car. If you have great roads like in Sweden or Switzerland, I’d say it’s money thrown into the sea. But to each their own.

Did you have a chance to look at standard silver trim? Is this plastic?
