I’m on the fence too. My spec comes with Bose, and I know audio is deeply subjective. Cayenne ICE owners are probably the best reference point… the Bose/Burmester implementation should carry over closely to the EV.
The opinions split every way: some say Bose is perfectly fine, some say...
A friend's Taycan had its LFP battery fail within three years. Porsche Singapore quoted him around USD 4,500 for the replacement. I reckon that's enough to swap out 10+ AGM batteries from a third party shop with PIWIS coding. And unlike AGM, sourcing OEM LiFePO4 in Singapore isn't exactly...
The owner's manual confirms the Cayenne EV uses a 12-volt LiFePO4 lithium onboard supply battery... was expecting an AGM like the Macan EV which is running on PPE as well. (i do prefer AGM)
Yeah, I can't seem to find it too. Was tempted to spec the electric doors but decided to pass.
I can't imagine opening the door and waiting 1–2 seconds for it to swing out... and then having to consciously not grab the door to pull it shut, and instead activate it and wait another 2 secs for it...
The cayenne EV is a different league to the IX3! In driving dynamics, interior quality, brand prestige and price, the Cayenne sits in a completely different segment.
If the iX3 were priced anywhere close to the Cayenne EV, sales would tank overnight. They're not really competing for the same...
After weighing it up, I’m keeping my Cayenne EV order.
I personally feel the coupe silhouette looks better on the ICE model. On the EV, I prefer the look of the standard roofline. I’m also not willing to trade away the larger boot. And the extra ~30km range is also not meaningfully different
The price gap is smaller than I thought! ... though you do give up quite a bit of boot space and a little rear headroom. Still on the fence about switching my order to the Coupe.
edit: watching the autogefuehl video, I noticed a feature on the coupe -automatic closing doors?! was this...

Stages of ordering a Cayenne EV:
1. Open configurator and Youtube "just to browse"
2. 3 hours later I'm comparing Vanadium Grey at sunrise vs overcast
3. Wife asks if you're coming to bed
4. "One sec, I need to see how Monteverde looks in daylight"
5. Wife leaves you
6. More screen time for...
Think I found the answer in a Porsche newsroom release — the side skirts and wheel arch trims are finished in Volcanic Grey Metallic as standard, with the Sport Design package swapping that to gloss black.
The video I saw had the Off-Road package, which explains the matte black trims and...
Love your taste in colors 😄
Been studying the configurator closely. the bumpers and wheel arches don’t look like bare plastic at all. There’s clearly a reflective quality to them.
Makes me wonder if that video I watched with raw plastic featured a pre-production car?
or should I take the...
Hi all,
My build date got pushed back so I still have about 2 weeks before my freeze date — trying to sort out one thing that's been bugging me.
On the base Cayenne Vanadium grey (no Sport Design Package), what finish do the side skirts, wheel arches, and front/rear bumper trim come in?
From...
Hi all,
Quick question on the 12V auxiliary battery for the Cayenne EV.
I've been assuming it's AGM (not lithium-ion like the Taycan's J1 platform) since the Cayenne EV shares the PPE platform with the Macan EV. Is that correct?
Also, the Macan EV has a known issue where a dead 12V battery...
The center console feels excessively deep with no way to organize smaller items — everything just disappears into the void. Hoping someone comes up with an insert or divider accessory to make better use of that space.
