I just went into milestone 4 a couple of days ago. making progress.
What was time from #2 - #3 - #4? I think there is about 11 weeks from #4-Delivery so around July 10 for you. Correct?

I was told my order would lock on May 5th and delivery on August 14th. Yet I discovered my order locked today some I'm now on milestone 2.

I put down a deposit at my dealer when it was announced in November. Went in on Monday as they have a build slot for May. Should be with me late June / early July.
Just had an update. My May allocation is now due for completion 2nd June (UK Turbo build).

My freeze day was early April so need to check what's my expected completion day. As it stands, none will be handed to UK customers before July though.

I’m seeing the dealer tomorrow - he has said he could get me into a car being delivered in July - I‘m assuming the spec will have been frozen so I very much doubt I’ll be interested in that. He is indicating a reasonable px for my March 25 Macan S EV.

Interesting to see that there are still slots available. Seems Cayenne EV is not selling to well in UK. Quite strange, see lot's of ICE Cayenne around and range in UK is not really a problem being an island with good/very good infrastructure along highways and ridiculous speed limits (yes, I am German ;-)).

Yet the BMW iX3 is selling better than hoped and it is so hard to look at! Gotta be the sales price.

The cayenne EV is a different league to the IX3! In driving dynamics, interior quality, brand prestige and price, the Cayenne sits in a completely different segment.

If the iX3 were priced anywhere close to the Cayenne EV, sales would tank overnight. They're not really competing for the same buyer.

Less sales numbers for Cayenne is not a bad thing! I'd rather be in the minority driving something exceptional than one of thousands in something common. :)

Today I've ordered a Coupe - Basic as I had doubts about insurance on the S. Besides, I've gone for comfort rather than performance and the Macan S I have, I rarely use the power in that, and that is not much faster than the Coupe basic.

The car is an allocated June build with expected delivery 10th July - so I believe it's one of the first Coupe in the UK to be delivered - ignoring press cars. I have this week to change my spec as the freeze is next week but the sales guy I always deal with is away next week.

Apparently this was the last allocated slot in the Lithia network. I saw a spec for a Turbo which listed with options at £ 158k scary money for scary acceleration.

I did want massage seats (back problem) but decided I didn't want to wait until they became an option - sales guy said not before Q3 and even then by no means certain and the electric doors are even less likely.

I'll also miss the opening roof but decided it wasn't worth going with the SUV just to get that.

Well done, I think coupe looks better. If you don't need extra space, you only miss out on open roof. For me it's space and open roof. I think coupe profits more from sport design package to emphasise on 911 back line, kind of option to have IMHO so would getting more expensive.

Looks like I will have to cancel - my insurer will not insure the Cayenne EV - not even the basic version. Being told it's a combination of the weight and potential lack of availability of spares on a new model. It's declined but not as a result of my age or driving record (20 years no claims and no convictions in 15 years).

My insurer was one of the few to offer a reasonable cost on my Macan S and they realise the Coupe Basic is slower !

if anyone wants to order a Coupe in the UK for July delivery with a freeze this Fri please pm me and I'll give you the contact details of the dealer. The allocation may be snapped up by a different dealer in the Lithia group.

You'd rather cancel than just changing insurer? What a shame.
