OK, it’s Porsche being Porsche. Never had this one on the Taycan but will need to ring the dealers and get it sorted. Hopefully the right hand charging port is OK otherwise it will be dropped down to them to get sort ASAP or I will be stranded.

The message has disappeared, left the car for 30 minutes and just went out to it and it’s gone. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Had it all the time with the taycan ….never really an issue ..had something to do with the door closing ,not the charging bit
Never had it once on our Taycan, that’s weird you had it loads of times and me never. Funny I was on with the service department arranging to book it in when I decided to go out to the car and see what it exactly said, unlocked and opened the door and the message was gone.

Pretty much every time the charging port had been left open while charging …when you pulled plug and jumped in the drive away that message would come up …the port door always closed …so never worried 😉

Happened to me lots on my two Tacans, also. I'll be on my fourth Porsche EV in a month or so, and I know now that there are two types of faults on Porsches. One is a "fault" that goes away randomly and is nothing to worry about. The second is a genuine fault that certainly requires attention from the dealer. I've only ever had the former.

You are really dependent on having a proactive and an EV experienced dealer. On the Macan forum I would say more than 50% issues were not dealt with by their poor dealers.

I am very lucky, my dealer not only resolved any issues, they understood how to resolve them. An example was when my car was booked in for a significant software update - the dealer called and said they had seen failures and even cars' system trashed. They said they would update as planned but recommended leaving until they were confident HQ had resolved the issue. Other dealers were continuing to update.

I would get this message on my Taycan if I forgot to check that the DC charge port flap had sprung back into position before the powered charge port door would close after charging. The door would attempt to close and automatically reopen due to the obstruction.

The DC port was closed as I was only using the 11KW AC charge cable. When I first hooked on and turned on the charger at work to start charging it wouldn’t so I had to disconnect and retry which sorted that problem. When I returned the car had charged up and the cable disconnected no problem, stowed it in the frunk and got in the drivers seat, that’s when I noticed the message. Oddly even when you hit the backup to return the display to the regular display this wouldn’t happen.

I still need to retry connecting that side at the start of the week to see if the problem has truly gone but it is an odd one.
