I’ve been told that due to the production line being shared with ICE’s, thus cars virtually being produced to order, that no discounts are generally available.

Seems they learnt from the Macan EV, that building to keep the production line efficient rather than satisfying the true needs of the market and sales, led to overproduction and dealers being left with unsold cars. Would be interested to see if anyone in the UK has received a discount of list, rather than the odd dealer fit

I'd image it might be different for LHD vehicles but I got a flat 5% without asking (rolled out of the printer with a 5% discount) and after negotiations I ended up with just under 10% off the configurator price. This is in Belgium and bought outright. (No finance, no lease)

Regardless of brand I've never ever bought a brand new car for full msrp. The only "regular" production car I know of that you really won't get a discount on are G-wagons.

How does the price compare to other countries are they cheaper or more expensive?

EU is much more expensive than the UK and US. Our base prices are about 15-20% more expensive.
That isn't true.

That’s a big difference…..that could be a plus for Brexit 😂
But it's not actually true. Add the fact that discounts of 8-10% are readily available on the continent, whereas in the UK they're harder to come by, makes the prices close.

This is without a doubt true. The base Cayenne is around 20% more expensive in Sweden than in the UK, and the UK and US configurators even include some features as standard that are paid options in Europe. Check the configurator yourself.

After Porsche repurchased my faulty Macan EV following 18 months of issues, with the General Agent in Sweden involved, I received a 6% discount. I was also told that 3% is currently the maximum discount on the Cayenne, depending on sales, another dealership I have a relationship with confirmed no discount before launch and that it was dependent on future sales.

Now, are there outliers, maybe. Customers in the UK, however, are getting discounts of up to 10%. So even if what you said is correct, the overall price gap is still around the same.
