On a different thread some time ago I said that my current insurer (Admiral) declined to insure the Coupe as it was “too new”. I have a fairly competitive quote from Porsche which I’ll probably stick with (cover is far more extensive). I think this is the explanation and UK owners may find this of interest If their current insurers decline to provide cover or heavily load the quotation.
Apparently Porsche is aware of a potential issue with ABI codes not being uploaded yet or being incorrect and so Porsche insurance are now working to be very competitive particularly with the Cayenne EV.

- Manufacturers provide detailed vehicle specifications to Thatcham Research, which then assigns the 8-digit ABI code and a 1–50 Insurance Group Rating.
