It would help if the sales staff were proactive and calling to keep you updated instead of cutting important elements from screen shots and not just forwarding corporate emails.

I have been so lucky with my dealer in Colchester - sales are absolutely on the ball and service were excellent sorting out the minor issues with my Macan. I was initially wary as they were Stratstone, but had recently been taken over by the Lithia US group, fearing cost savings but it has effected nothing. The only slight downside is the request for completing a survey after every visit - anything less than ‘exceeded expectations’ is a fail !

Yes the centre Principal is still a card I can play. I think i'll be exploring that option today.
I sometimes wish i wasn't so particular with spec and having new. I could just walk into a showroom, buy from stock and remove the risk of all this nonsense :)
I 100% agree that you should pursue this. I have a tendency to take it a bit further when I feel that the dealership is just plain unjust. I called Porsche AG a few times regarding some different dealership issues, and I'll tell you that it went faster than lightning for them to adjust their attitude after that. Apparently, Porsche AG is pretty serious about customer service and satisfaction, while the General Agents in our countries are not. I've had the head of sales (who usually never answers his phone) call me and SMS me simultaneously so he could get a hold of me within 3-4 days after I spoke to them.

The number is found in the Porsche app, and if you tell them that you feel like they're toying you around and that instead of keeping you as a customer, they instead want you to cancel your purchase. Even tell them that you offered yourself to buy another car as well and they didn't even manage to accommodate you with that.

Also, you're not alone in regard to buying a new car. Especially when it comes to Porsche SUVs. For the past few years, when seeing Cayenne e-hybrids or Macan EVs, they are literally 99% the same configuration, same wheels, same colour, and it's like duplicates all over the country (showroom cars, obviously). Now, that would have been great if you would get a better price, but usually, it is even at the list price, so you're better off ordering one yourself along with the usual discount most regular customers get.

The whole experience has definitely been less than the 10 out of 10 they'll need on their customer satisfaction survey. But who knows, they could still turn it around

Hopefully i'll have something to work with once i hear back from the emails i sent yesterday. I'll also explore contact with the dealer principal today

I'm sure in 4 months this will all be a thing of the past and i'll be overjoyed with the car itself. Just a shame it will be the depths of winter and not the height of summer as originally expected.

I'm very envious that your car has progressed as far as it has.

My visit to the dealership did not go well from a "Customer Satisfaction" point of view. Was met with a lot of "No's", "we can't do that", "our hands are tied", "It's a global issue", "all our other customers are in the same position and we can't assist everyone"... They did tell me i was able to cancel my order if i felt it was necessary. Which always makes a customer feel valued :CWL:

I even offered to buy another temporary car in the meantime... but i would of course need some sort of commitment on the depreciation or a really good upfront price to compensate. But they we're very eager for me to "just continue being patient".

I've got some thinking to do. And any advice from anyone would be well received
I see there are 20+ demonstrators for sale and several new high spec Turbos - is that an option?

Same story with the Taycan historically- semiconductor shortage, air suspension shortage, wiring harness shortage, TPMS shortage and the odd stop sale for HV heaters. I would not be surprised if similar things are being experienced with the Cayenne EV unfortunately.

You don't have a sunroof so you are not missing out :CWL: . Sorry about that. Totally agree, all will be forgotten soon but it's really annoying. I tracked my previous Macan and got all excited about completed steps and estimated delivery. In the end I was handed a lemon. Delay is not the end of the world (all delivered Cayenne EV seem without major issues), 2nd lemon after 6+ months wait however feels like this. :CWL:
