The standard car has an option for a VLC roof that can also be opened. We can probably expect similar for the coupe.

Yes but ICE roof on coupé can't be opened (for whatever reason (curvature / aero)) if this follows through to EV then perhaps VLC will feature on its own.

I wish i knew more... my local dealership received 3 "early" allocations for Coupes. One being a Turbo so i took it. June build, July Delivery. I suspect these allocations would ordinarily be dealer spec'd for the showroom but they've allowed me to take the Turbo.
Obviously i wont be able to spec my Coupe unless the configurator is live, so surely there must be the intention to have the Coupes on there some time this month?

If I understood correctly, you were able to see the Coupé in person and even place an order — that’s pretty exciting.

Did you happen to take any photos? And more importantly… how did it look in real life?

I have not seen a Coupe. I've had to take a blind punt. So far just the deposit paid for a June build, July Delivery. I'm sure others can predict my timeframe for having to lock my spec based on their experience with SUV orders but with no Coupe option on the configurator yet, there's not a lot more i can do right now.
I'm at the dealership again today but not sure they'll actually have a great deal more to share with me.

I have news! Coupes are coming very soon. I was offered an "early allocation" on a Coupe Turbo yesterday. I'm told June Build. July Delivery. But no idea on the price yet.
My Taycan goes tomorrow and i was offered a little bit of "deal" to make it happen. Deposit paid.(i've had to seriously manipulate the numbers in my mind, in order to convince myself its actually a deal)

I’ve heard of quite a few Porsche dealers handling deposits in a similar way without always following through on their promises. In some cases, customers have had to involve lawyers to recover their deposits when issues arose. Just a heads up, but I’m sure you already have everything well considered.

I'm confident there isn't any funny business going on. I think the worst that could happen is a delay and the July delivery slips... but i've already discussed a contingency with them

It's Auto China in Beijing from 24th April. I would guess it will be launched to coincide with that.

i've just had it confirmed that the UK SA's that are out in Mallorca this week, doing their Cayenne training, have been able to see the Coupe...

Just wondering if people with UK orders are seeing any progress with build slots being allocated. I ordered in Jan and have been told that it is likely going to be October for delivery. However this is a guestimate. The dealer is being fed a build slot per month (for the base model) on average and based on back orders they expect mine to fall into the October timeline.

In the meantime I have had to get something to keep me going as my lease on the eTron GT expires on Monday!

Mine was ordered in November (Turbo) and had a freeze date earlier in the month with an expected completion on 26th May and hopefully a mod June delivery (UK)

I ordered a base model through Tusker in January on company car scheme. Still waiting a build slot, looks like it will be end of the year into Jan ‘27.

Both dealer and Tusker are extremely vague.

Not seen much chatter around base model arriving for anyone in the UK anytime soon?

I am in the exact same position. Ordered in Jan via Tusker. The dealer is still estimating October but I am not hopeful. I am temtped to change to the Coupe S as I know the dealer has a free September slot available at the moment, and I am starting to lean more towards the Coupe.
