Anyone had a build slot confirmed for the Cayenne EV Turbo yet?
I paid my deposit the week of release and not been given anything other than a ‘hopefully June’ delivery.

After analysing IanDB’s configuration, I noticed something quite frustrating regarding the new Cayenne Turbo Electric pricing and equipment differences between markets.

It really feels like European buyers are being treated like cash cows.

Not only are prices already generally higher in Europe, but when you compare configurations, you also find that some items included as standard in the UK are actually charged as paid options in France.

Here are a few examples I found:

  • 6MA – Double sun visors → standard in the UK, €107 in France
  • QK3 – Preparation for Porsche Dashcam → standard in the UK, €121 in France
  • EK1 – Porsche Wireless Charging preparation → standard in the UK, €228 in France
  • QE1 – Storage Package → standard in the UK, €323 in France

That is already €779 worth of equipment included in the UK spec but charged extra in France.

So basically, buyers in France are paying more overall, and on top of that, some features that are considered standard elsewhere are still billed as options.

I would be very interested to know whether other countries in Europe are seeing the same thing.
Are Germany, Belgium, Spain, Italy, etc. also paying extra for these codes, or is this mainly a France issue?

Would be useful if other members could check their local configurators and compare.

Yes. I am paying for my base up to €20K more than the UK and US, which is insane. (Sweden). To be fair, I’ve understood that the UK has a different tax policy, but the US is just stupidly cheap in comparison.. which is great(!), just not for us.

This particular code is comparable in price as the Turbo without any options at all on the Swedish configurator, if that says anything.

Don't European prices included VAT/sales taxes? USA prices do not include taxes as that varies by state. Where I reside there is an additional 6.25% tax.

Yes, in Europe prices are generally displayed with VAT included. The VAT rate varies by country, but the price shown already includes the tax. For example, in France the standard VAT rate is 20%.

@IanDB - My dream spec is almost identical to yours! Just a different interior colour for me

I would have loved a light interior (like my iX) but dislike the fact that it is 2 tone so went for the safe option!
