The son drove 380 miles in my Cayenne S and it averaged 3.2miles/KW, based on its useable battery size that should equal about 345 miles which is closer to the claimed.

When you say he drove 380 miles, you surely don't mean on one charge?

Kyle from Out of Spec drove a base Cayenne with the smallest aero wheels until the battery drained and the car couldn't move any more, at a constant 70 mph, and he only achieved 345 miles.

He charged in Penrith somewhere and that was it. I don’t know if the base model is more or less efficient than the S version, I do know one of not both electric motors are different.

Always at night, usually setting off around 2300 to midnight, so I'm not subject to the 100 km/h limit or much traffic. Whenever I've done the test, I never have had to take the car off cruise, other than to turn around and loop back the other direction. so it's 99.9% at a constant 120 km/h.

Officially, the S has a higher WLTP range than the base model (405 miles v 399 miles).

If you're getting a figure of 3.2 kWh/mile purely from the trip computer, you shouldn't trust it 100%. Based on my data, most cars overestimate the consumption to some degree. Looking at the numbers for my Macan Turbo, it was consistently overestimating the efficiency.

But even if 345 miles is more like 320 in reality, I still think that's good.

Genuinely don’t know what the true range is on the Cayenne S, might be 340, might be less, might be more but I doubt it will get close to what the GLC is in a recent comparison between it the iX3, EX60 and Tesla Model Y.

That was very unexpected by me and as all car where driven side by side it’s probably the most accurate comparison we have of a real world test on these cars.
