If you are building your car with must had items here’s a config I just did listing what I would prefer.

https://porsche-code.com/PT7AVQM7

Colour of both interior and exterior are personal things so I left basic but the rest are things I feel if I were to build a car and wait for it would be the options I would want.

After owning multiple BMW M cars one option I could not live without if I had a choice would be HUD, likewise heated rear seats if one thing the wife couldn’t do without as she is always in the rear with my son up front.
RAS is essential, can’t miss out on a car like this.

I was fortunate enough to drive one with and one without, unless you really need it for parking etc I didn’t feel it was that noticeable on my test drives.

Drove only Macan EV with and without in direct comparison. Totally agree, on shorter test drive without RAS no significant difference except one tighter bend. In daily use, I notice rear wheel steering on Cayenne EV quite a lot and it prevents sticking nose into incoming traffic. I would say, it's a must have where I live (London). So really depends on your circumstances.

I agree on @CHPs comment. You can’t really figure it out on a short test drive unless you see it day to day. Keep in mind as well that the most sporty models of the 911 line-up have RAS (such as carrera T) etc. This isn’t only for the turning circle, but for stability in higher speeds and corners etc. But, since this car is 5m the turning circle alone should be enough.

Agree probably a short test drive comparing both isn’t ideally long enough but the high speed stability isn’t really a concern for anyone other than those that live in countries which have a triple digit speed limit or no speed limit at all. For my driving it’s not something that felt I really need even if it made things a little easier. Some might not feel HUD is required but for me that’s had it in my daily these last 9 years it’s something I wouldn’t want to do without.

I was going for a really high spec base model but decided that 325Kw from my current 400Kw BMW would make me feel like I was missing out. Daft really but I just felt I would mourn the loss. Went with the S but had to drop my spec.
I went with
21" Spyder
Exterior Black Pack
14 Way Seats
Ventillated
HUD
Bose
Chrono
Privacy & acoustic glass
Black rails

I was going for the sunroof but on a test drive, it was the first car I had driven without the HUD. It actually made me nervosa when I was looking at the speed. I also found that the steering wheel obscured some of the dash. So a £2k splurge on the HUD.
Felt adventurous and ordered another green car.
It is on a lease so unsure when it will be landing

nervosa is a Latin word meaning "abnormal condition of the nerves….imagine if you test driving the the turbo you’d be praetrepidus depressio

That’s how I feel without a car with HUD on a daily, when the speed is in your eye line you are less incline to get caught speeding. Well that’s my justification for spending £2K that the wife would have wanted on a cruise. 😂

Does the Cayenne come with Porsches Tracker (PVTS) as standard? I'm assuming there is the usual annual sub?

No, you have to order separately from dealer. For a very brief moment you could order from factory but this option was removed. Really annoying, I would love to have this integrated in the key. Happy to give up frunk button for this 😂

In the UK the answer is NO, fitting is approximately £750 and then the yearly fee on top.

Also, they have changed the system - for the better but can be 'alarming' ! Before, if you forgot to have the fob with you (you shouldn't carry it with the key) then after driving a few minutes you got a text asking if it the warning was correct. If you didn't respond quickly then they called you.

Now if you get in the car without the fob you can't select forward or reverse and get a warning saying something like System Failure. Which is fine when you know about this, but wasn't for CHP and myself when we didn't have the fob in the car - we thought it was a return to the Macan actual System Failure days for the Cayenne. Our dealers neglected to warn us about this - hence me posting this.

I think this is better as the tracker now also acts as a Ghost by immobilising the car if the fob isn't present. That said, the fob could do with being a bit smaller though.
