I've seen the new "pale blue metallic" in person at a dealership; it was really disappointing to me... I was hoping that it would be closer to "Montego Blue" (past Cayenne) or "Yachting Blue" (past Panamera) -- but it's not nearly as nice.
My sources say that you are wrong about your first claim. A Taycan that I was just considering buying has a line on the official Porsche build sheet listed as "ZTR", which the dealership told me was for any tariff imposed by Trump (in this case, it was $0).
I wish that the Cayenne Electric would come standard with steel suspension, with air suspension optional (as is the case in the US with the ICE Cayenne). As for the 25% tariffs, it's very arbitrary and unclear how that would go forward considering that all of the 2025 tariffs imposed by Trump...
Well, a 2025 Taycan 4 CT that I was considering buying arrived in the US late last year, and it had zero tariffs imposed on it according to the dealership. So it isn't clear when/how these tariffs will be implemented (and if they're legal -- with the courts overturning Trump's tariffs of last...
My main focus on the cockpit is from the driver perspective -- not what materials are made of but rather how functional the cockpit is (screens, controls, storage space) to help the driving experience. From that perspective, I found that my special-ordered Macan 4 was quite a bit better than my...
Very interesting. Things I like: (1) regular door handles; (2) retention of physical switches for fan and temperture (climate); (3) retention of normal key fob, steering-wheel and door controls, analog clock, basic instrument-panel design; (4) electrochromic glass in the roof (but I hope it...
I've been saying for years that PHEVs will likely pick up a lot this decade before BEVs go "mainstream". I've been waiting for the better part of a decade for Porsche to come out with a Macan E-Hybrid; I'd buy that over a Macan BEV now, if it were available, because I do numerous cross-country...
Thanks. No performance options at all. It comes standard with the sports chrono package and air suspension, and with the 455 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, I didn't need anything more than that. I wanted to keep my depreciation loss to a minimum by not loading it with lots of unnecessary options :)
I like the infotainment screen and buttons-design in my 2018 Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Sport Turismo more than in the Taycan. The temperature and fan speed for each front-seat occupant has a physical lever that you push up or down to change each function. There's a dial below the infotainment screen...
It would be something I'd likely consider buying, for sure. But I fear that what Porsche is looking to do here is an uglier XC90-type (or Land Rover LR4-type) of larger SUV with 3-row seating, to overcome the frequent criticism that the Cayenne has limited interior space for families and people...
