I was heading to the grocery store, and as soon as I got out of the car and started walking away, I noticed the driver's window was halfway down. At first, I thought I must have forgotten to close it, but I hadn't even touched the window, and I rarely lower it in the first place. So I got back in, rolled the window up, and as soon as it reached the top, it immediately dropped halfway down again. This happened 2–3 times—it simply refused to stay closed and kept lowering itself halfway.

Eventually, I rolled the window all the way down and then back up again, and after that it started working normally.

Now, this could just be a one-off issue and nothing to worry about, but the Macan EV had some pretty dreadful window issues on early production cars (opening itself on locked cars etc). Because of that, I'll call my dealership tomorrow to get ahead of it before it potentially becomes something bigger.

Has anyone experienced anything similar with the Macan, or have any idea what might cause this?

This is really bad but this might resolve it. (Apologies if you know and have already tried this). I remember reading this on the Macan forum and elsewhere - the windows reset. I suggest you try it before you call so the dealer knows it’s not a reset issue, also it seems very close to what you did to get it closed

If the problem persists then do the following procedure to calibrate the limit switches:
1- Lower the window while holding down the button at the first click.
2- Press to the 2nd click and hold for 6 seconds.
3- Raise the window while holding down the button at the first click.
4- Press to the 2nd click and hold for 6 seconds.

Hope you get it sorted and it isn’t a portent of troubles starting.

I really appreciate it. I will make sure to try it because I haven’t even though it seems I did something similar by accident.

Sadly, I know from experience that “resets” usually don’t work on Porsche EV problems 😂

I had this on my Macan a lot, and it sounds like the window needs recalibrating. Follow that procedure and I suspect it will solve it. Of course, you'll probably have the issue repeat itself in a few weeks or so.

I am sorry to hear that, I hope your Cayenne experience will be better. Thanks for noting that, I will take it seriously with the dealership if that is the case.
