Mine is still stuck at milestone 4 and I have no estimated dates for any milestones 5-12.

I received my VIN today. Put it in as a new car in the App and sure enough the right spec appeared. It doesn't detail any dates yet.

The dealer separately confirmed car is due in the body shop 27th May and delivery is two days earlier on the 8th July. Car is coming into Sheerness.

He thinks my car will arrive on the same ship as the dealer / demo cars so an early entrant into the UK

Did you ask for the VIN or just get an e-mail?

The salesman I am dealing with sourced it and sent it to me.

As per last year, when I bought my Macan EV, he provided the same service. It is reassuring to see in the App the spec / options are spot on before the build started.

Super happy for you and glad the right car came up in your Porsche app. It's quite amazing, Coupe only just released and yours probably one of the first to arrive in UK. Just to confirm, your car is on it's way to Sheerness currently?

Sorry if this is too much info, but I just received notice that my order to the westcoast US has made it to the port in Emden (two days after the completion notice). I expect progress to slow down a bit now as it sits in a lot waiting for it's ride to California. Still no production picts or firm delivery dates.

Not yet. It's not due to start production in the body shop until 27th May. The time from Eden to Sheerness is only 3 days. Your dealer should have the VIN as you were told build starts in May. Have you asked them for it ?

Once you get the VINyou can check the build spec in the App

How patient should i be before i start pestering for a VIN? Seems like they're available weeks ahead of production starting

I believe some dealers are resistant to provide the VIN until delivery - I would ask for it as a check on the options before the build and then hopefully for in App updates on production saving you having to bother them. As you have reached ‘freeze’ I‘m fairly sure your dealer will have the VIN.

I (and my dealer) are unsure if as per last year, the App provides progressive build & shipping dates, or whether the TYD function not being available means it won’t be. I hope TYD is an entirely different function which provides photos whereas the App provided a progress map with the forecast next step.

Does tracking work?
No, sadly the tracking doesn’t work at all. You can see all your options in the build and also activate Porsche Charging Service if you’d like, but nothing else.

My dealer told me that my chassi was confirmed by the factory (whatever that means) and that production either started this week or will start on Monday. Apparently, the “global launch date” was more of a “VIP reveal” for my dealership, and the official first handover day is the 27th of June.

Having the VIN means the chassis is allocated to your car and I believe that means the options are attached to that car for the supply chain.

Not long now then, which means we'll be able to get some feedback on actual cars by owners and not reviewers. I made my order conditional on a demo drive but now I find that the dealers demo will probably arrive on the same lorry as mine. I have a suspicion that my build allocation was the dealers Coupe order which they switched to a sale.

Hopefully us first owners won't have cars with gremlins - I spoke to the lead technician at the dealers and he is not going on a 3 day Cayenne EV training course until end June.

Thank you. Probably getting mine early July but who knows. I have to say, your colour looks really cool with green background.
