I guess I’ll get things kicked off…
Took my pretty much fully loaded base on a mini road trip from North County San Diego to the Santa Monica area of LA this week. I pre-charged at home to 90% thinking the 248 miles (405km) round trip would be pushing the range limits, as I have a heavy foot...
Fixed it by trial and error.
I ended up having to switch profiles and then back again, which kicked it out of privacy mode. On retrospect, I was doing a lot of set up with the car yesterday (apps etc) and I think I had all possible permutations of the two keys and my phone with me through out...
Well, might have found my first bug. When my base is parked and I am not close, the app goes into ‘Privacy Mode’ which doesn’t allow monitoring or remote access. I have followed the manual instructions and toggled the privacy and remote access radio buttons on and off with no luck.
Has anyone...
Well, I may be lucky enough to win the race for first California delivery (or close to it). Mine is being prepped now and I have it scheduled for a Friday delivery. Already have the links to set up remote connections etc. I'm now in the ppf, added insurance, etc conversation.
My dealer reached out a while ago and told me, mine was due into San Diego on the 11th and that the US 'on sale' date was officially July 22nd. As the ship is currently off Mexico, and yours is due in NorCal on the 4th it must pass us by and drop the first loads of up north then head back south...
Ouch. Sounds like we are on the same path. I had a Gravity on order but canceled after hearing the horror stories about the software and frequent, random bricking. Too bad, I loved the test drives and I do hope the company survives.
Looks like yours missed the boat @ptsturbogt unfortunately. Mine is on the Daedalus as well, so it looks like it will stop in San Diego before making its way up to NorCal (unless they transport south via land). Kind of fun watching the 'live' track. Currently off of Porto heading toward the...
Sorry if this is too much info, but I just received notice that my order to the westcoast US has made it to the port in Emden (two days after the completion notice). I expect progress to slow down a bit now as it sits in a lot waiting for it's ride to California. Still no production picts or...
Further updates, my TYD tracker moved from stage 5 (almost ready) to stage 6 (on the truck) in 5 hours. No actual pictures though which is disappointing. Heading to port now.
Not sure what’s going on in Europe with the TYD, but I have an early order (late November) and was just notified that my order just moved to stage 5. Bit of a delay (4 weeks) for the move from 4 to 5, but at least some progress.
I asked the same thing. Seems like a waste of effort, but they have to certify all vehicles for emissions levels even if those levels are zero.
PS. Thought you were getting political for a second re ’ICE’…😉
My order went in early December and was given an early to mid July delivery date. I was told they will actually be on shore earlier, but have to wait for CARB (California Air Resources Board) approval prior to release. Interesting re the reveal. My dealer is in North County.
@ptsturnogt, we seem to be on the same timeline to the same locale. My order went to 4 on April 13th. Did your dealer mention if this is a ‘normal’ wait to progress, or if there is a known delay? Great to hear they don’t think they will pass on the tariff increase for now.
Ordered Dec 11. Dealer gave me a completion date of April 20 and a rough estimate of early July for the 'on sale' green light here in California. The dealer provided the commission number that I added manually to the app for tracking.
