Test drives with the new Cayenne Electric are possible from 05/2026 - info my PC Belgium
Well, I got hosed:Sheesh a freeze point 5 months in advance seems excessive. I ordered on 21 November and was not given precise dates. Rather I was told production slot of April and delivery about 6 weeks later to Houston USA. Wouldn't my freeze point be here any day if the 5 month spread is normal?
Seems strange the deliveries are separated so much. My order was the first with the dealer. Perhaps your order is a second allocation.

Would you be open to check with any other dealers nearby your area for a potential allocation? I am deeply frustrated to hear things like this, it really shows that the incompetence of Porsche dealers is sadly a wide spread problem. I really hope it works out, and what a great customer you must be to handle it with such grace, I would be infuriated.Well, I got hosed:
21 November - deposit paid and preliminary build ordered. Was told build in April, order details lock three months in advance of build, with delivery about 6 weeks after build.
22 November - I informed dealer that the preliminary build only includes prep for a hitch and I must have a hitch from day one. They said they will look into it and get back to me and that there is plenty of time to make changes.
3 December - I see the online configurator now shows a hitch is available. I've been told I have time before order locks. Based on video reviews I have concern that the front cupholder submerged in the console will be a pain. Autogefuhl and other reviewers agree. I watch a ton of reviews and decide I can live with the cupholders. I then focus on finalizing my build choices over the holiday period.
2 January - I visit dealer and ask them what is up? They say they discovered the order locked on 18 December for a July delivery which caught them by surprise. Dealer buries their head in the sand between 18 Dec and my visit. So I am stuck with the preliminary configuration without hitch. Dealer claims there is nothing they can do and that the hitch cannot be ordered separately. I know with the Taycan Cross Turismo the bike rack that can be ordered with the car took more than a year before it was available via parts department. I asked dealer to look deeper.
8 January - dealer threw up their hands and returned my deposit.
24 January - it seems there are no more Cayenne Electric allocations in my area![]()
I already have checked with my regional dealers. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise? I have heard so many negative stories of Porsche dealer service tactics, incompetence with EV service techs and many technical issues with Taycan & Macan. I was thinking Porsche probably will be over the hump with technical issues for their third EV and was going to ignore the dealer issues.Would you be open to check with any other dealers nearby your area for a potential allocation?
