BMW XM, BMW X5, Cayenne Coupe S EV on order
Hi folks,

First post here - Just ordered a Cayenne S Coupe EV.

Porsche code is https://porsche-code.com/PTLXD1K5

I saw the identical car in my local dealership and fell in love with it.

The showroom car doesn't have HUD so I added that as having had it in BMWs for many years, it is something I couldn't not have in a car now.

Currently in a BMW XM which I love but the Contract Hire renewal quote for a third year was ridiculously more than I'm currently paying so jumped ship to Porsche.

Got a build slot for 1st week in September which I was very surprised about.

Cheers

I have it on the XM and find that the interventions that it makes are downright scary! I would rather have control of the car.

I think you need to consider whether it will be the optional Drive Assist or the lane departure that causes that. Lane Departure is required on all cars but can be easily turned off.

I did the same for my Cayenne Coupe (no driver assist), yes for the HUD.

On the BMW it is definitely Drive Assist. I have all the other aids (or hindrances!) switched off or on their lowest settings.

Understood. I find the Porsche Drive Assist system to be fine - I had it in my previous car and it was similar. I do set the level of warning to the minimum. It's too expensive to buy and then have to turn it off !

For some very strange reason they have stopped offering the option on the Macan in the US.
