Your description of Madeira Gold Metallic is hilarious. 🤣
Colour is hard when the configurator is inaccurate and there are few pictures in natural light.
I have ordered Napoli Blue but have the same concerns you mention.
I like Algarve Blue but too similar to my other car.
Now thinking of changing to Valladium Grey but questioning whether I am being too conservative and it will look boring on a coupe?
It is a big decision for me as it is my first Porsche.

Here you go...

@Throb, you’re my hero! šŸ˜„ I’ve been looking for a real video of this configuration for so long… Thank you so much for sharing it!

I do notice, however, that Vanadium Grey has quite a strong blue undertone depending on the lighting.

And as @aileron rightly said, Porsche certainly hasn’t spoiled us when it comes to the choice of colours…

I just hope I won’t be disappointed when I finally see mine in person, and that the combination of Vanadium Grey with the SportTechno wheels in Turbonite will look as good as I imagine.

What do you all think?

Vanadium is a lovely shade of Blue/Grey (i've also ordered Vanadium but adding Stealth PPF) but i definitely agree the colour options are really poor and PTS over-priced. I've taken a stoic approach to my Cayenne and told myself that us early adopters shouldn't be too hard on ourselves if we don't quite get the spec spot on. We've barely seen any real world examples prior to locking and it also doesn't help when Porsche can't manage their supply to demand. I absolutely would've had Sport Techno in Turbonite but couldn't.

I’ve actually been thinking that, if I’m not completely convinced by the colour when I finally see the car in person, I might go for a satin PPF.

The problem is, I know absolutely nothing about PPF and I’ve never had any of my cars wrapped before šŸ˜„

@Matt-Taycan, as you’re going for Stealth PPF, I’d be really interested to hear why you chose it and what result you’re expecting on Vanadium Grey.

Any advice from those who have already done it would be greatly appreciated!

I had my Volcano Grey Taycan Stealth PPF. Was very pleased with it. The install and film didn't deteriorate at all over the 3 years i had the car. With Volcano being a dark colour the PPF had the effect of making the overall appearance even darker. I've been sold on the Satin look finish since.

I borrowed the showroom colour swatch to test Stealth PPF on Vanadium. With it being a light colour the PPF made it appear ever so slightly lighter maybe. Again very pleased with the overall look. It's clear that Vanadium will be the most "popular" (common) colour initially. I'm hoping my stealth will make it a little more unique.

ONYX have done their first Stealth Conversion. It's a Porsche Showroom car too

apologies for the order of the uploads... can't be bothered to correct it :)
