I have the same setup like @Wivenhoe so usually notice this straight away. In first scenario I usually take over for a short period and cruise control will continue afterwards. I am not saying it’s better than human driving, but like you I like to drive by night and it takes off some strain. Each to their own. Same for automated lane change.
) on S class (no 4 wheel drive) in corner (ice/snow), driver would loose car every time due to usual speed (from recollection you would need to reduce speed by 10-20 kmh for cornering without ESP). In S class with 4 wheel drive you could recover car at times (not sure why Porsche is offering SUV without 4 wheel drive). Not sure how ESP settings work in Porsche, guess I will find out during driver training.
