We do not actually use deposits in Sweden! I find it quite interesting how different things are in the US, although I might understand why due to it being highly populated with only a limited set of productions spots available.
I have just asked my dealer yesterday, they are not taking deposits yet. It will open as soon as Porsche officially announce Cayenne EV.
Just to be clear, you do mean that it starts getting built in April, right? First deliveries I’ve heard are in June, and that is in Europe as well.
So you can't actually order until there is an allocation. Reservation fee can be made to keep your position in the queue and then assigned to the allocation once available and then you have a short period to alter spec after that before it is locked - normal process for any factory order.
