Question for Cayenne EV Owners: options you would or wouldn’t have chosen?

Current Owners, in hindsight, are there any options that you would or wouldn’t have chosen?

My order is in (Electric S) and my window for change is closing. It would be great to get feedback on options, colors, etc or choices that you would chosen differently now that you’ve had time with the car.

is there anything you’ve learned that would help those of us going through the process?

I would have gone with the massage seats but they were unavailable. The single most important thing I went with was the rear axle steering.

I would have gone with the massage seats but they were unavailable. The single most important thing I went with was the rear axle steering.

Thanks! I chose the massage seats, but I’m not sure how much they’ll get used. I chose RAS, too.

My Turbo I specced with the following:

I did go a little over the top but, with hindsight, I wouldn’t have changed it apart from the following:
I’d have added some more interior leather (the standard materials are great but I do like extra leather).
I’d have also optioned electric doors (they weren’t available on the 2026 model).
I did wonder if the passenger display would be a gimmick but it’s actually used a lot.
3,000 miles in and it’s still the best car I’ve owned and has been incredible. Tech is superb. Drive is awesome.
very occasionally I need to do a reboot by holding the volume knob down for 20sexonfs but certainly no more than on other recent new cars I’ve had (Tesla, BMW iX, Mercedes GLC)
I have enquired the cost to order the above plus the leather and doors taking my current one in as px and, giving up my car now and waiting until late Q1 for the new one would cost about £30k to change.
I'm not doing that as I don’t want to be without it for 4 months and no idea what the px would be in Q1 2027.

But regarding the question, massage seats and if you have the possibility for active ride it is a must have tbh.

@IanDB what leather option are you missing? I thought the Turbo had all the normal interior leather as standard. Do you mean the small detailing like on the doors?

Yes, the doors and grab handles. Nothing much but would look good.

it's way way way cheaper to get any Porsche exactly the way you want it than to start over and do it again with your next "more correct" order - at the end of the day Porsche options are both excessively expensive and insanely cheap depending on your perspective…

• excessively expensive: charging for something that is included in the price for most other vehicle's - terrible and unquestionably margin boosting profit taking evilness
• insanely cheap: $x,xxx for any given option against a $150k+++ vehicle that you should own for 5+ years - what are you really saving by excluding something you actually want and will notice it missing every day during your ownership period…explain this to me?

I'm unaware of any Porsche options that make the car worse by adding them to the vehicle - but I could be wrong…

get the the vehicle the exact way you want it and don't look back…this is one of the "features" of a Porsche that you can get the vehicle exactly as you want it - if you want "standard" vehicle that's what the other vendors are for and excel at…they are not Porsche.
