Picked this up today. Had time and didn't want to pay over retail. So put myself on the waitinglist expecting a 4 year wait. Got the call this week, not even 4 weeks... Got lucky I guess. ??

LOL, can't believe my luck. Had registered at 2 stores and got the 2nd call yesterday, 9 month after registering.

Picking up another one of the babies next weekend at retail price of 14K USD.

Will be looking to sell on Chrono24 en make a grand or 5. ? ?

Given the watch crime I picked up a Nite Tritium for the wild evenings out in London. I love the blue diver theme and Nite had this great one with blue illumination to boot. The Seamaster now takes the evening off.

I have just bought two beaters for me and the Mrs due to travelling and not really wanting to wear a Rolex out as much nowadays.

Lots of thefts happening all over the place.
My mate was robbed at gunpoint in Brazil for his Sub.
And plenty of thefts happening round our neck of the woods.

Both new beaters are quartz. My Tag (L) on Rubber about a grand and the Tissot on silicone I picked up yesterday for wife was only £360.....with interchangeable strap/bracelet.

Its quite liberating having something you can smash about and not give a feck. ?

The dial is blue sapphire glass, very cool without being too fancy.

The back is blue sapphire too.
Excellent quality and finish for this price.
English brand, Swiss made.

I had two Planet Ocean Chronos explode just outside of warranty...the Swatch Group was not very kind in their repair costs, but were kind enough to return the parts in a tiny zip lock to prove that they had done the repair.

FWIW, not a huge fan of this brand anymore - the titanium for the Planet if you really like the watch, is the only way to go, or its size will feel like too much...and forget about getting a dress shirt cuff over it; it's just too big.

I tend to look at brands like IWC (the IWC Portuguese 7 day is GORGEOUS!) or Rolex but less sought watches like the DJ 41, or Sky Dweller. To me, Swatch is just a mass market machine and it doesn't feel awesome buying an expensive watch knowing that parts from it might be in the next fall collection of the Calvin Klein watch.
