I suppose that would make sense as a business write off. However, my personal cars I just buy cash (never leased) - so I’m keenly aware of depreciation.
The only thing faster than this cars acceleration will be its depreciation.
I wouldn’t touch a car with a trident on the hood unless I was using someone else’s money.
You have been buying product from China since 2006? Whoa. You know who else has?
Every human on earth.
You could tattoo my post on your arm, but clearly you do not understand how Chinese companies work that are not governed or dictated to by foreign countries. Buying some products does not...
This x100.
I am assuming that 4EVer has not actually ever worked in product development to know what the dichotomy of designed in US and made in China vs. designed in China and made in China.
I am in product development, and pre-Covid would go to China for weeks at a time roughly 3x a year...
I agree. I drove one prior to buying my Taycan RWD and the RS6 felt very heavy and wasn’t impressive in power. I know they can be easily tuned but it feels very top heavy and floaty compared to the Taycan. I had an order in on an RS6 and cancelled after that. Plus coming from multiple Porsche’s...
Is this worth 2 Plaid's? I don't think so. And I wonder if the laggy infotainment has been fixed yet?
The problem with these upstart EV companies is overpromising and under-delivering of actual cars. And the higher the price, the less likely I would be willing to spend on an unproven...
Next time I’m in Shanghai for work (whenever that might be) I’ll see if I can find a showroom, for ya know “research purposes”.
Edit: hopes are dashed… the robotic arm is connected to the AI assistant video screen. This is used to face passengers during interaction.
It’s ok, a little goofy looking for my tastes. We do know a few things:
- it will have a $30k interior, not an $80k+ one
- won’t be as sporty to drive as the Taycan
- very little customization (color and that’s about it)
- smaller battery
- ugly wheels (imo)
- they will be everywhere (like a...
You want to talk about complexity, 3 out of my last 4 car purchases have been plug-in hybrids. I've been lucky with the reliability but I think I'm ready to go full EV now. Just so used to never gassing up now.
only 39 Lotus dealers in the US is a huge deal-breaker for me. There was a Lotus dealer within 20 minutes from me, but sadly they have closed since Covid. This lack of service network keeps me far away from cars like a Lotus, Rivian, Tesla, or any of the new startups that seem fly-by-night...
