I saw some images of the fob before and was expecting something much larger than it is. It sits in my wallet ok - but I'm old fashioned as I am happy to keep my cards etc in a wallet rather than rely upon Apple Pay.
Haven’t used a wallet in years. Fully rely on Apple Pay. Fob is ok but really think that tracker and immobiliser should be part of car and keys. I have fob on key ring.

I guessed you were an ‘Apple Pay person’ so no wallet with cards. I’m pretty sure that all of the reputable tracker systems that provide almost immediate notice of a potential theft rely on a fob of one kind or another. The Ghost Immobiliser doesn't, but they don’t offer a tracker which is a shame.

Just called Admiral - car is still declined as classified as Group 99 ! Next week I'll call Porsche and make sure they are still holding the same policy cost for 2 months from then.

My keyring is full enough so I’ll stick with my wallet for now

Same here for now, but like to think keys will eventually go into Cayenne's phone compartment. Just want to avoid scratches and rattle.

I just tried to get a quote for the ‘S’ and Turbo. Admiral (we have a multicar policy with them) declined, as did all the main uk insurance comparison sites. Clearly still an issue and did flag this with Porsche GB team as dealers are trying to get people to put down deposits, which you cannot do until you know you can insure! I also called Porsche insurance and they declined on the Turbo as we “didn't have electric gates or bollards at our house”! Not in a high risk area - by way of comparison a RRS p550e is £900 fully comp and a FFRR p550e is £1450 fully comp. I know these are far slower but we currently have a Macan 4S that costs us £720 fully comp at the same address. Weird?

James C. I went with a Base as the insurance is a real consideration for me due to my age. I have 30 years no claims, clean for 24+ years and low risk. I have a Porsche Insurance quote fixed until 30 June - £ 2,300 which I think with the coverage is not too bad. Last year we had a multi with Admiral for wife's car, the house & Macan S for less.

Did you get a quote for the S ? I think the insurance market is getting very of EV's as a fairly minor shunt can cost a fortune / write off due to the battery damage.

Cars are now becoming available so we'll see how the market responds.

Good news for once. I've just got an online quote from LV= for a Base £ 1,000 cheaper than Porsche Insurance ! They declined to cover a Turbo.
