In the interest of balance, fairness and an effort to keep forum posts constructive and informative i have an UPDATE on the situation regarding the excessive delays to my Turbo Coupe.
Yes the initial response from the dealership was nothing short of disappointing. However, following an escalated email from myself, contact from the dealer principal and subsequently the general sales manager we have managed to find a solution that works for everyone.

I have agreed to buy a nicely spec'd temporary Macan Turbo. I will keep this until my Cayenne arrives. I have paid a favourable price (which is actually irrelevant) as more importantly I have also been given a guaranteed buy back price. I'll collect the car today and without further delays I will sell it back to them in November when i collect the Cayenne.

great To read. Annoying though that situation needs to be escalated to get proper service with such premium brand.

Did they ever clarify what was causing the delays?

WellI had a late October build slot (slipped from late Sep) for my Coupe S.

Final spec went into dealer yesterday. Email back saying that it looks like no deviated stitching in MY26. So now to decide whether to remove it or wait till it becomes available.

Luckily in no rush for the new car but would have been good to have availability shown on the configurator.

Definitely! No one wants to be "that guy" that has to escalate matters. But i did at least have some very pleasant and constructive face to face conversations with all those involved at the dealership. We're all best friends again now :)

Not yet. I did push on this but they're still waiting to hear from Porsche. Wheels did get mentioned briefly but i'm not sure how informed that view is. I have even had a call from Porsche and they don't know the specifics either. Hope to hear something next week.

One good thing (having come from a Macan myself) it'll drive home what an improvement the Cayenne. EV is over the Macan EV !
That's good to know. I am relatively impressed with the Macan EV (being a highly spec'd Turbo probably helps) but Naturally comparing it to my Taycan. The Macan absolutely needs to be in its lowest ride height setting to feel anything like as planted as the Taycan. But it's a lovely car and more than enough to tide me over.
I think i'm actually most impressed with the colour. Slate Grey is surprisingly nice, in case anyone is considering it for their Cayenne

My 911 is Slate Grey Neo with black sports design - sets it off a treat.
