- I had all versions in previous Macan and loaner EV's, Compass was my least favourite. You get all information in driver display as well. Get the chrono. Porsche chrono is amazing but expensive. I did choose none for cayenne and I am happy without. I got passenger display instead. Not utterly useful (well kids use it and you can extend certain information and graphics ) but looks better.
- I have 3D surround view and some of functionality like kerb warning and transparent bonnet are quite useful. 3D view is a joke though - surroundings are completely distorted.
- I have race tex roof lining as well. Amazing and somehow needed in my build with dark interior and exterior to provide some contrast. I know exactly where you are coming from with handles, they are cheapish as it gets. Space for sunglasses is very limited and I ordered replacement in race tex as sunglass holders via Alibaba previously. They looked amazing but never got to install them as both Macan were lemons. I will order them for Cayenne once available.

Exterior looks amazing, you can't go wrong with techno. I wouldn't get Electric and Cayenne lettering though as they are a nuisance for cleaning and detailing.
Thanks Christian, the Chrono has been on then off of the spec a few times now, I love the looks of but but not the price - might reconsider. I don't like 3d views on cars I have had before, can't get my head around them and am a bit old school

Great colour choice.

I would advise the 3D Park Assist if only for the kerb detection given the large rims. Some of the other features may prove useful.

The rest of the interior options are very much personal choice but I wouldn't spend money on RaceTex - paticularly the roof when you have most of it in glass - and direct the combined funds to a leather interior.

The GTS model when it comes will be awash with Racetex but most buyers will likely opt for leather as I did on my Taycan.

Nice problem to have!
I really love the racetex look and have switched between it and full leather a few times but it is the Racetex that still gets the nod, feels a bit more special.

There is some tire noise in the car, so I would reconsider the 22” wheels if you’re aiming for a quieter, more comfortable ride. That said, if you do choose the 22s, I’d almost consider the thermal insulated glass (all windows) a mandatory option. It’s a must-have regardless, making a significant difference to cabin noise and the overall driving experience.

It’s also worth mentioning that the glass doesn’t just reduce noise, it reflects heat exceptionally well. We’ve had temperatures of around 28–30°C over the past few days, and when you touched the side windows, you genuinely couldn’t tell whether it was winter or summer because so little heat was transferred through the glass.
Thanks Moham, great point on the glass, I did have it in one of my specs but lost it somewhere. The demo car I tried had 22's and I did not have an issue with the ride and noise but hard to tell what it would be like on a long journey.

Don't get it for 3D view but the features that come along with it. Don't like the 3D view either, it's confusing and very badly implemented in my opinion. I think kerb warning alone is worth it and even transparent bonnet has its uses (for example higher curbs). As for Compass, I regretted decision in my 2nd Macan. Also, suspension is quite luxurious, even in sports, having sport plus via dial maybe not bad at all. I have to use touch display. You have a more sporty interior, you may want to consider engine sound as well.

The 3D view is not the only view if as per other Porsches. I have it on my 911 and rarely use this feature. All the 2D views are present in addition.

The consensus on the base model is that its acceleration doesn't feel that great, especially compared to say the Macan 4S. The UK What Car magazine has this explanation which aligns with that view - the standard car builds up to its 436bhp maximum – a little like a combustion-engined car – rather than delivering its surge of power and torque at once. While the stopwatch won’t lie, it doesn't feel quite as rapid as that number suggests; on the flip side, it means it’s easy to drive smoothly.

I am not entirely sure if this is entirely true, you certainly don't get the kick in "normal" and "comfort" matches exactly what UK What Car magazine described (the throttle response is completely different). In sport, car still doesn't feel fast as fast as Macan 4s (bigger, heavier) but in comparison to new 911 GTS (sorry, don't have any other direct comparison) Cayenne seems to accelerate faster from 0-20 mph (sorry, London has a lot of speed cameras). Looked at some torque curves from Taycan, more complex than I assumed. Seems Porsche can play around a lot with front and rear engine settings. I am interested if @Wivenhoe will have same experience, I believe Coupe is set up to mainly use rear wheel engine for more sporty feeling.

100% Agree.

Something I also noticed is that when keep accelerating from standstill to over like 50-60km/h when in sport plus, the acceleration is much more intense and expontential and gets even more intense than 0-50km which I found really interesting. It doesn't even stop after 120-130km/h which is a massive difference from the Macan 4, so they must have done something with the performance more than the bump in HP.

Thanks. I'm sure that I'll find it to be more than quick enough. I rarely used all the acceleration of the 4S and I'll keep thinking of the £ 18k saved

Order placed today, waiting for the allocation but dealer is hopeful for Nov delivery.

Final spec (until I change it that is) https://porsche-code.com/PT83TZI4
Are you also sourcing a winter tyre & rim set?

Suspect the configurator will also tick over to MY27 shortly which may entice you to other options before your order is locked.

I might get winter wheels but not as a part of the initial order.

Good point on the MY27, we shall see.

It will be interesting to see what, if any, changes are made in options / spec in the 2027 model. My dealer told me the only thing would be an increased price !
