My first time in a Cayenne EV today, and comparison to Taycan/Macan

Model years are completely out off sync, same for Macan EV. I might be wrong, but they probably will wait until they can offer new massage seats which I assume will be introduced by Bentley later this year. Just guessing.

348 miles after 1k miles driving for 100%. I am going to Cornwall in a few hours, I want to arrive at 80% battery. Let’s see if Cayenne can maintain charging speed above 50% recharge - Porsche app thinks yes.

Rear view is good enough and storage compartment is brilliant. I like that you can fold trunk cover for loading and that you can store it when not on use. The trunk net is brilliant for families like mine who think we are moving house while going on vacation. Only criticism is reclining of rear seats. Porsche is not alone but some manufacturers have shown that more reclining is possible. All the electric adjustment for rear seats is just to increase trunk space and not comfort.

Wow, just drove to Cornwall on Sunday and returning today. Achieved (probably wrong word) 2.8 mi/kWh on way to Cornwall matching my drives to Germany. Battery showing 319 miles at 98% battery.
Update on Porsche route planning, like on way back from Germany, chargers (400 kWh) were double chargers and all were occupied by one car. Estimated charging was 370 kWh but I got only 130 kWh so didn’t test 60% battery charge as I had enough left to reach destination. In summary, infrastructure doesn’t match Cayenne’s charging speed. This needs to be sorted out, theoretical charging speed is not good enough.

Curious as to the speed you were doing, I lift mine on Wednesday, well actually it’s the son who’s collecting it for me as I am busy at work and can’t get away so he’s taking the wife and making a short break of it. In my current i5M60 if I sit on the motorway at 70-75mph I get about 3.1-3.2mi/kwh and the Cayenne Couple has the same aerodynamics as the BM.

Curious as to the speed you were doing, I lift mine on Wednesday, well actually it’s the son who’s collecting it for me as I am busy at work and can’t get away so he’s taking the wife and making a short break of it. In my current i5M60 if I sit on the motorway at 70-75mph I get about 3.1-3.2mi/kwh and the Cayenne Couple has the same aerodynamics as the BM.

Average was close to 50 mph, majority at 70 mph but I had to take a scenic route for around 30 miles as still not everyone has seen stone henge (40 min traffic). Trip to Germany was slightly better and included Autobahn.

So, now I have completed 4 longer drives. Average is between 2.8 to 2.9 m/kWh. Most miles driven with InnoDrive so kind of driver independent. On my way back I noted some decrease of consumption in 2nd leg despite higher average speed but no traffic. Range for me is around 270 to 280 miles (90% battery). Not class leading, but good enough for me as long as you find non shared chargers. Overall, range is very similar to Macan EV. Just wonder if @Wivenhoe 's consumption is due to Coupe (otherwise similar spec) or mix highway/country roads.

Will be interesting to see what I will get from my Cayenne S Coupe, on all my previous EVs I drove them all on B mode which is one pedal driving as I found this gave the best range regardless of drive mode used and now use to it I prefer that style of driving though not sure the Cayenne does proper one pedal driving.

Oddly I always found that the best consumption I got from all my EVs was on long journeys and I reckon this was down to the battery never getting up to optimum temperature on my very short daily runs.

If they are then it’s better than he normally wears which is gym shorts and slides. The lad has zero dress sense and the daughter in law has tried to smarten him up.

CHP - recently there were a lot of local miles and some 70mph carriageways. I think without ac I will get 340 ish
