Put a deposit down on one of these earlier in the year. Not sure about all angles when they released it yesterday, but it's growing on me. It's huge.

It's probably the most direct competitor to the Turbo ST I have coming. Thoughts?

Funnily enough I've just been on the website and registered interest. Stopped short of reserving though. I think it looks fantastic and I'll have to see if they will have car to look at later this year. My 4SCT is on order and not currently due until late Q1 '23 so if the Eletre comes not too long after that then I may cancel and switch but I'd have to see it in person before making that call. Still love the Taycan though so would be tough. This might edge it just based on having a family of 4 to cart around.

It looks interesting, and hoping to see a ton more competition like this, but no way I'm buying a Lotus EV when they have fewer than 50 US dealerships as far as I can tell, and I bet most independent shops aren't going to touch a 6 figure EV. Oh, and this is their first EV, so it surely will have issues because of it. Hard pass.

if you have an interest in an EV SUV may I suggest that you look at the Jaguar I pace. I recently took delivery and the car is very impressive. the range is just a bit less than a taycan but the interior is IMHO superior, the ride is good and it is plenty fast. the cons are here in the US a limited availability and some say that at DC chargers the charging is slower, I have only charged at a DC twice and was taking a charge at over 100kw.

As cool as it may be it goes against everything Colin Chapman stood for. I get the SUV thing but they should stick to what they do best - drivers sports cars.

The prince of darkness only gets stronger with this one.
Ha ha love the strength of opinion on this one.

Clearly it's built in Wuhan, but it's been designed in the UK, and they are gunning for Lamborghini, supposedly. Even though I am buying a Taycan, I am not convinced it is any better quality than a Geely product based on what I read on here, or any more a sports car than this this monster will be.

FWIW, kort, we/my wife already has an iPace and loves it. It certainly seems to be better put together and have a better infotainment system than the Porsche based on what I read here, and contrary to common perception.

looks cool SUV wise but I’d be willing to wager the wait will be even longer for this. Also, the boot/trunk is even smaller than the Sport/Cross Tourismo somehow so not sure you’ll gain much for carting the family about.

The Porsche equivalent of this will be the electric Macan, though I suspect the Lotus will be pitched against Aston, Lambo and Ferrari SUVs.

It's a nice design, but I'm not interested in the slightest over the Taycan GTS ST. Perhaps if I had a few kids and a wife to keep happy then that choice might change, but then I also wouldn't be considering a Taycan.

I'd be giving serious thoughts to the Merc EQB in this class of vehicle, but then the Lotus is leagues above, so there isn't really an equivalent unless Aston EV'ify their DBX.

Oh deary me!

No, no and no again (sorry).

Poor dealership network will put many off too.

Really should have called it a Proton (remember that "awesome" vehicle)?

especially the newly upgraded system in the 2022 models.

the amount of driving info offered rivals the much talked about tesla tech.

I think that anyone who is awaiting the coming of an EV macan should give the I pace a good look.

Looks interesting, but a surely a different segment to the Taycan (maybe the lack of performance EVs with hatches makes them a temporary segment until the new Macan etc come along).
(Also- based on its looks, I could imagine it with a Renault badge)
