Good morning! Just got an update regarding production slots. Apparently first deliveries for them are in April/May if I understood correctly yesterday. Keep in mind it was into a 20 minute conversation so I could have mixed up ”production” and ”delivery”. Nevertheless, in that area! :)
Thx. I still don't have a slot. Guess all sorted with your Macan. Finally. On the bright side, we both had the pleasure of driving multiple loaners across the Porsche range.:CWL:

Haha, keep that thought for at least a week! They are figuring out if they can give me a loaner in the mean time instead of using my own car. During that I had the pleasure of receiving my car after changing the charging outlets on both side. Took six hours before I got issues with the charging itself. Long story short it’s back in service and I’m in another loaner(!!!)

So, I hope this will disregard the option of using my own car.

Still happy though to (almost) be part of the Cayenne crew! 😂

Configurator doesn’t list a trailer hitch. I’ve see Macan EVs with them. Need for bike racks and light towing. The specs list a nice GVW/towing capacity.
For USA the vehicle lists "prepearation for tow hitch" but a hitch is not an option. This may mean late availability which is a deal breaker for me. Euro cars have their hitch type available from launch.

Maybe the preparation just means that if you get the car delivered and they might not have put it in, you’ll be able to do it at a dealer! So on the positive side you’ll have it anyway easily added later on :)

Funny enough, I’ve been thinking the same thing about the HD-Matrix headlights — I still can’t decide. I added them to my spec after trying them for two months on a loaner Cayenne E-Hybrid, but coming from Mercedes (like you), they’re not exactly mind-blowing. Most of my driving is out on Swedish countryside roads, though, so I still feel like they might be worth having. On my current Cayenne E-Hybrid loaner with the standard LED-Matrix headlights, the main difference I’ve noticed is the lack of lane-centering. Otherwise, the upgrade doesn’t feel dramatic.

Regarding Sport Chrono, I actually hadn’t thought about it the way you described. Now that you mention it, the design does feel a bit “bulky.” Do you think you’ll miss the Sport Plus mode? Keep in mind that you may lose a bit of peak power if you only have “Sport,” but you can still set the chassis to a Sport Plus-like configuration manually in the settings. So the only real difference might be that slight power reduction. This is with the assumption that it operates like the Macan EV without sport chrono.
Just sent you pic of my Taycan loaner and noticed it was equipped with HD Matrix. Better than standard light on Macan for sure but no big difference to Matrix on Macan. Overall, automatic high beam activation felt much slower than on Mercedes (and that was not even the latest generation with projection). Have a look at sport sound for Cayenne standard, still on my wish list but not sure if I should order 4 zone climate instead. Equipped in all cars but kids barely using it. Further, in Mercedes this was likely the cause of increased ventilation noise. Also Macan started to make some strange noises when idle (before starting or after shut down). Not sure if this is due to season and/or preconditioning.

I still can’t believe that they gave you that loaner!😂 I’m quite flustered regarding the choice, oddly enough I was recommended by my dealer to lease the Cayenne as well because of the expected residuals which also made me reconsider all of my options since I will hand it back within three years. Long story short, now I can’t figure out to opt for the HD-matrix or not.
4-zone climate is something I specced on my car collecting dust for the better part of a year. So I am with you on both cases.

How are you thinking regarding 14-way and 18-way seats?

In the end was quite a fun experience. I made sure everybody was aware it is a loaner. This car was clearly a head turner.

I have to look at lease options. Usually I keep car for 4 years and last time I checked it didn't work out for me due to higher interest rate for Porsche here in UK.

Sorry about Matrix LED and 4-zone climate control. Guess I will order 4-zone climate control for pice of mind.

As for seats, not sure. Sport seats look rather similar to Macan whereas comfort seats differ. I really like comfort seats in my Macan but didn't like them in Cayenne (probably didn't adjust them correctly). I tested sports and they are comfortable. Just not sure about missing headrest adjustment. I had full electric seats including headrests in my Mercedes, but feel much more comfortable in my Macan on long drives. I will need to visit dealer or wait for presentation in UK.
