PRESS RELEASE

New 2026 Porsche Cayenne Coupe Electric joins gas-powered and plug-in hybrid Cayenne Coupe variants

04/24/2026

No matter the powertrain, the Cayenne Coupe is the stylish, performance-focused all-rounder with a wide range of versatility.

At a glance
  • With its striking flyline, the Cayenne Coupe Electric now complements the Cayenne Electric SUV line-up
  • Features same interior, powertrain, and suspension technology as the SUVs, and adds Sport Chrono package and panoramic glass roof as standard
  • Gas-powered and plug-in hybrid Cayenne Coupe variants will continue to be offered in parallel
ATLANTA. The iconic 911 “flyline” and striking proportions come together to define the new Cayenne Coupe Electric models, which are among the most emotive and sporty vehicles in the SUV segment – not only in terms of design but also in outstanding E-Performance. Since its entry into the market in 2019, the Coupe variants of the Cayenne have continuously increased in share. For 2025, the Cayenne Coupe body style represented 40% of share for the US market.

Design

The Cayenne Coupe Electric models combine commanding presence with the iconic styling of the flyline derived from the Porsche 911. It features a unique roof design, with a new windshield specific to the coupe. The gently sloping roofline sweeps elegantly over the car’s broad shoulders, giving the Cayenne Coupe Electric a particularly sporty appearance.

The adaptive rear spoiler blends harmoniously with the body, while the flush rear window emphasizes width and creates a clean look. Precisely drawn lines, broad proportions and high-gloss black window surrounds form a design that exudes sportiness in every detail – extroverted and clearly positioned: a Porsche sports car through and through.

Performance

All variants of the Cayenne Coupe Electric utilize the same 800-volt powertrain and adaptive two-chamber, two-valve air suspension concept as its respective SUV counterparts. With launch control, the Cayenne Coupe Electric can send 435 hp and 615 ft.-lbs. of torque to all four wheels. At the top end of the range, the Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric generates up to 1,139 hp and 1,106 ft.-lbs. of torque, while the Cayenne S Coupe makes 657 hp and 796 ft.-lbs. of torque when using launch control. Rear-axle steering is optional on all models, while electro-hydraulic Active Ride suspension and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus options are only available on S and Turbo models.

Max PowerMax Torque0-60Top Track Speed
Cayenne Coupe325 kW (435 hp)615 ft.-lbs.4.5 s143 mph
Cayenne S Coupe490 kW (657 hp)796 ft.-lbs.3.6 s155 mph
Cayenne Turbo Coupe850 kW (1139 hp)1106 ft.-lbs.2.4 s162 mph

Charging performance is also a priority for Porsche, and the Cayenne Coupe Electric models share their exemplary capabilities with the SUVs. A NACS port sits within the drivers-side rear fender, while a traditional J1772 AC port is on the passenger-side rear fender for level 2 charging requirements. When connected to a compatible charging station that can output at least 400 kW at 800 volts, the Cayenne Coupe Electric’s 113 kWh battery can be charged from 10-80% in less than 16 minutes under ideal conditions. A CCS adapter is included as standard.

Aerodynamics

The coupe body style with its sloping roofline further enhances aerodynamic efficiency. In addition, the roof height of the Cayenne Coupe Electric is 24 millimeters lower than the SUV and boasts a drag coefficient of just 0.23 (SUV: 0.25). The Porsche Active Aerodynamics system, which features cooling-air flaps and an adaptive spoiler, optimizes efficiency, downforce, and cooling. Like the Cayenne Turbo Electric SUV, the Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric also features active side aeroblades to help reduce drag.

The rear seat system (available either as a two-seat or a 2+1 configuration) offers two-way electric adjustment. The rear seat backrests can be folded forward at the touch of the button from the luggage compartment. The cargo area cover can be stowed beneath the load space floor when not in use, and a front luggage compartment provides even further storage. The Cayenne Coupe Electric has a towing capacity of up to 7,716 lbs. and can be optionally equipped with an Off-Road Package which improves approach angle.

Lightweight Sport Package

The optional Lightweight Sport Package includes a lightweight carbon roof, sporty carbon inserts, exclusive 22-inch wheels and performance tires. Motorsports-inspired elements feature heavily in the interior, including fabric seat centers and the classic Pepita pattern, a Race-Tex headliner and carbon trim panels. Depending on the model, the package reduces weight by up to 38.8 lbs. A black leather interior and a 2+1 rear seat layout are optionally available.

Price and Availability

The full range of 2026 Cayenne Coupe Electric models is available to order now and will be sold alongside the current gas-powered and plug-in hybrid Cayenne Coupe variants. MSRP for the Cayenne Coupe Electric starts at $113,800, the Cayenne S Coupe Electric will start at $131,200, and the Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric will start at $168,000. Pricing does not include the delivery, processing and handling fee of $2,350. Deliveries are expected to begin at the end of Summer 2026.

Don't understand why the Coupé wasn't launched first or in parallel.

Addresses one key dislike for me and that was the slab-like rear end.

Now on the configurator too.

The £2,400 price difference is a nice surprise too. £6k was expected

Pano roof as standard!! WHAT!?!?!
New Light-weight Package with Fabric interior and New Wheel design
Design wise, I think it's missing the fixed roof spoiler. Similar to the ICE Caynne coupe. But that drag coefficient is more important i guess

The price gap is smaller than I thought! ... though you do give up quite a bit of boot space and a little rear headroom. Still on the fence about switching my order to the Coupe.

edit: watching the autogefuehl video, I noticed a feature on the coupe -automatic closing doors?! was this available for the non coupe ev?

Always been that differential even with the ICE variant.

Yes - was on the configurator unless its been removed now. Favourite gadget on Chinese luxury cars but a pricey option

Soft close is standard however (motorised closing if not door not properly closed (as per the boot / trunk).

Improved range over the boxy non Coupé variant. Personally, I'd go with the coupé now and have already moved my config across.

Same as ICE Coupé but note that you can't open it unlike the regular Cayenne EV. This accounts for part of the price differential.

You get chrono for free as well but loose electrically folding rear seats. Usually manufactures charge more for Coupe, so it's kind of a bargain but then Cayenne is not really a coupe with 4 doors. Visually, Coupe looks much better (in particular upper half up to wheel arches) IMHO. Lower half of back still looks too busy.

They want to kind of fuse Taycan and Panamera in the future, imagine how the Cayenne EV would look like if you remove bottom 10 cm with the front air intake around current number plate.

Volumetric battery energy density is rapidly improving because of: 1. cell improvements, 2. packaging improvements, 3. vehicle efficiency improvements needing less energy, 4. charging speed reducing the need for large capacity packs. The tipping point of abondoning skateboard chassis and going back to battery boxes is not too far off. 718EV hopefully will be the first to show the way.

Lotus already did it and probably would work for other mid engine cars but certainly not the way for mass manufactures in the foreseeable future. Skateboards might become much thinner or shorter though. Weight and energy density will prevent having one battery block in the front for some time.

You don't lose much if anything. Standard fit is electrically adjustable backrest (no squab adjustment). Additionally, rear seats 2+1 are zero cost and gives the benefit of the +1 centre part of the seat to be dropped (skis, wood planks etc). The compromise is the electric release of the backrest and return - appears to be manual.
