Porsche quotes - sound really good.

Uh oh. There's a guy, @D00, who is gonna ask dealer if they can comply with Porsche press releases issued two years ago about sending battery health analysis to customers. Why doesn't @D00 understand that is not the purpose of Porsche AG press releases?

(If I remember correctly @Genau had to pay $700 for a multi-day service visit to obtain battery health info.)
The latest Porsche Newsroom post, with the legal context quoted above, was just issued yesterday, 18/6/24. It would be interesting to see the outcome if a Californian resident asked for his Taycan’s health data.
I’m not naive enough to believe Porsche PR and their franchises are in step. But I also don’t think that we just accept the current poor situation. How does anyone know if the legally binding terms of their warranty are being met?

For details of Porsche "deep test" which is used for official determination of battery degradation (for warranty purposes), read posts by @Genau in this earlier thread. He had to pay for his test.

Again a fresh reading of my 2020 Turbo .. with initially one of the worst battery health readings (88.14%).. but it seems stable and slowly increasing :)

Seattle area,
1. unknown
2. 89.28% :)
3. 9200mi
4. ~600kwh
5. Turbo 2020 (maybe dec 2019 builddate)

Recently I have not fast charged anymore and use home charging, very nice. Last week, I ran it down to 1%, and we can see that one cell (22) does not look good, much lower than the rest:

Then I charged to 100%, and now the same cell 22 been overcharged :

I let it sit for 2 days at 93%, and now it seemed to have balanced itself again :)

Pheew, I hope it was just unbalanced and doesn't imply a bad cell. I usually keep it between 40 and 70% (as that seems to give the least stress to the battery), but because of this I guess the battery normally has no opportunity to rebalance itself. Let's see how it goes - thanks for doing all the hard work on this data @ciaranob

Great info in this thread. I really appreciate those who share their charging habits (charging up to 100% or 95% vs 85% as recommended).
The reason is that I charge at home after midnight due to electricity being cheaper at night. As a graveyard shift person, I can't charge when I'm at work. So I am having to charge on nights that I am off from work to make it last until my next off day. And I use about 25% every night going to work.

1) Delivery Soh - no idea, bought second hand
2) Current SoH - 92.2%
3) Current mileage 18300 miles
4) kWh DC charging - no idea unless it in the car scanner app somewhere. I’ve only done 1k miles since I got it
5) MY2023

climate is cool (old England)

Realize I’m behind but again plan to catch up - thx all for continued additions - data will be added.

@ciaranob - an update for when you get a breather. Not many miles since the last update but "rebalanced" twice. Let the car sit at 6% SoC, unplugged, for over 24 hours. SoH did not change afterward. Still at 91.57%. Min/max cell voltage was 59 mv before and 48 mv after so a slight improvement cell to cell. Charged to 100% and let it sit unconnected for 12 hours. SoH improved to 92.46%, min/max cell diff was 5 mv. Did a trip, some DC charging, and repeated the rebalancing. Sat at 16%. min/max cell diff was only 7 mv. Recharged to 85%. SoH 92.33%, min/max only 3 mv.

1 - unknown
2- 92.33% (down very slightly from just after the charge to 100%)
3- 13,105
4- 1,656 lifetime
5- 12/2022

Rebalancing consistently pushes my reading back to 92+%, where it has been since about 6,000 miles. Allowing the car to sit unplugged (which I hadn't done previously) has evened out the cell to cell voltage differences. Projected, and seemingly accurate, range at 100% had dropped to 240 miles. Now at 268 miles, and based on the recent trip that is pretty accurate for flat, hot Florida highway driving. Letting the car sit and do it's work to even out the cell voltages seems to allow the software to maximize the battery's potential not just recalculate the SoH. Anecdotal conclusion.

Excellent - yes abroad for 4 weeks with work - by no means given up tracking data here and will def update with the last 5-6 additions once home end of this week.

I hope you have electric power at home. My relatives in the vicinity don't and have been told 4 more days till they do.

back to 90% after twice calibration!

Porsche Cayenne EV 🔋 Baseline for HV Battery SoH Performance (Battery Degradation Data by Taycan Owners) IMG_0672
After 6 month, the SOH come to 86.23%
The rate at which this battery’s health is declining seems a bit abnormal to me. Additionally, the full charge capacity is now only 63.65kWh of its original 100% 79kWh.
