They're certainly taking their sweet time to respond to my email
That's (and generic answer after such a long wait) what really infuriated me when I had problems with my first Macan EV. Didn't bother with second.

I got the impression that Alloy Wheels in general are causing delays. Which seems quite ridiculous. Of all the 1000's of components that have to come together in order to create the finished product, who would think Alloy Wheels could cause such an issue.

I did push back and question whether there might be any opportunity to now amend "locked" orders. In theory if the delivery date has moved so significantly, then surely all other dates can move too. I'm sure i would learn to love the wheels i ended up with but its the one option that's been bothering me
Matt - which wheels did you switch to as alternatives

I had to switch from the Sport Techno Turbonite and went for the 22-inch Cayenne Exclusive Design, Gloss Black Blades.
I'm sure they'll look great in person but i'm now concerned there'll be too much Gloss Black. Also annoyed with myself that i allowed the colour renderings on the Configurator to sway me away from Turbonite at times. It looks very bronze online, when in reality i know its not like that at all (have never seen Turbonite with my own eyes though)
Oh well. It will be what it will be.

Exactly this! already expecting the bog standard response that i'm locked in... i'll happily accept this but i want to hear it from a source outside the dealership. I want reassuring that the question was genuinely pushed further up the chain of command

Turbonite does indeed not look bronze IRL. I found it to be more greyish. Here’s a picture of the sport techno in Turbonite.

That's a much better representation. Even if i can't switch back to Sport Techno i'd now much prefer Turbonite Blades on the Cayenne Exclusive. I really feel like i F**ked up going with too much gloss black.
It's always tricky ordering a new model, with nothing real to see. I guess mistakes will happen

Some of the rims can be easily painted for relatively little money - friend did it for his 911. Porsche Switzerland charged similar amount to factory order. Hope this eases your mind. I feel the opposite, for reasons stated above by you, I decided to leave the side window trim in silver. Not so sure anymore.

Looks like UK deliveries are starting very soon. My Turbo is on the boat at the moment. Should be very early July delivery.

Managed to drag an update from my dealer yesterday. My delivery has now slipped from Mid-July to 11.09... Painful!!
How does the dealer estimate compare to the TYD estimate?

(Assuming you have TYD access!)

Matt - the only thing the VIN gives is you can check the options are correct. My dealer tried to send a TYD invite last Thursday and couldn't using my VIN so some early UK cars are still excluded. The only Actual date I have is that on the 11th June the car entered production - so it seems it must be waiting for something (wheels) as the Estimated Date for exiting production is 3rd July.

I see your car has been pushed back to Sept so after the August Close Down.
