The reason it concerns me is that the 2026 model has 3D surround view as an option (which I specced) separated from remote park, BUT, the 2027 model bundles the 3D surround view and remote parking together. I'm concerned my car will only have the 2D surround view.

This will be my 4th Porsche, and I still don't fully grasp the difference, other than the 3D is obviously better. I just want to be able to see the front and rear kerb views, if I'm honest.

If I remember correctly, they changed the Taycan that you don't get kerb view on the 3D view, but maybe I'm remembering incorrectly. I also test drove a Cayenne, but I can't remember what it had.

Can you explain what the Cayenne gets in 3D view? Does it get an easy way to see the front and rear rims?

I am assuming if it’s the same as my taycan it shows the complete surround view

On the U.S. press release for the 2027 model year, it says deliveries start in January '27. Obviously it takes longer for cars to get the U.S., so I also am wondering when production actually started for the '27 model year.

I also spec’d the 3D surround view as an option on my 26 build and per the the tracker (options included) it still references the 3D surround view. If I open the build in the Porsche Configurator it states the 3D is no longer available. Will see once I get the car, hopefully, in 1 - 2 weeks (arrives in Jacksonville tomorrow).

I was worried they were going to take it off …rather than upgrade …if they do I won’t be happy …surely they should have given an option

The 3D does have the kerb view - from the online manual.

The camera view options include Surround View, Panorama view, Side view, 3D view, and Transparent front bonnet view (equipment-dependent). These views are accessible via the central display and provide visual assistance for parking and manoeuvring

If you have a vin, put it as a new car in My Porsche and you can see the options. Should be able to see if you have 3D

My Cayenne Coupe that I picked up last week has the 3D surround. It has kerb view as well as other features to spotlight problems. Last night I was at a drive through and the display started to highlight in red the tires that were in jeopardy of hitting the concrete curb. The cameras also showed the cayenne from different angles toward the car not just the usual away from the car view. It was very different from what I remember from my Taycan. Earlier in the evening it identified a pedestrian in red when I was backing out of a parking space.

Yes, that's correct. On '26 models, the option was "Park Assist including 3D surround view". For '27 models, this option has been changed to "Remote Park Assist with 3D surround view". It's a different option. When you put your '26 build into a '27 configurator, it obviously will say the "Park Assist with 3D surround view" is no longer available, because it's a different option for 2027.

If I try to add a car to my Porsche account, it just says I need to contact my dealer. I'm aware of having to do this in the past with other Porsches.

I have my VIN. Can I see my options any other way on the Porsche app?

Sorry I can’t help on that. I added the car whilst it was being built with no prob - early cars couldn’t get TMD so I hoped that may have overcome it. When I put the vin I even got a graphic of the correct colour car.

When you reach the last milestone, the dealer will push a message to Activate your new car. Once you activate the car a new icon will appear on the My Porsche app with links to the Porsche Connect features, charging information, etc. The old icon with the milestones will disappear.

The activation code must be sent from the dealer. I went through this for my Cayenne Coupe EV delivery the other week, and again today for my upcoming 911 delivery next week.
