Insurance in uk for the Cayenne Turbo

Struggling to get a prices for insurance on the Turbo From usual places. Admiral not offering a price at the moment the few that are coming back are pricey and never heard of them. One guy said it could be because it knew and not in some systems yet. Any one got any places to try in the uk. Should be arriving end of the month so need to sort it. I’ve done all the compare places.

They covered mine on our multicar policy (despite initially being knocked back online)

Soon after launch most insurers wouldn't provide quotes as the model hadn't been certified in insurance 'group' for all 3 models. Admiral very competitive for a Base now

See earlier post - one insurer would only cover the turbo if the drive had posts or was to be in a gated community. You could try Porsche Insurance (cover is more extensive but comes at a hefty price). Chubb were underwriting Porsche Insurance in the days after launch - maybe worth seeing if you can get an online quote - https://www.chubb.com/uk-en/individuals-families/products/motor.html

Also a bit pricey but good cover is NFU (new if written off or stolen in 2 years). They required you to have insured and driven an EV previously but may have dropped that now.

I went down from a Macan 4S to a base Coupe in part due to the insurance of a 2t car worth more than £ 100k.

Trying an insurance broker is a good idea.
Searching a broker via AI gives some good options.

I switched to Hastings Direct from Admiral for this reason.

I’ve just remembered. When few insurers were quoting I got a competitive quote from LV= now part of Allianz. I’ve just checked and they do have a Turbo in the pull down. Maybe worth a try, online so no hassle.

Good luck. I’m sure you know, but you could buy time by taking out the 5 day complimentary cover offered by dealers (with Porsche Insurance). They provide this so the car can be taxed on collection. If you have any finance on the car this may not be acceptable.
