But OP did not purchase a Mission E. This is argument is disingenuous.
When people placed deposits on the Taycan, it was based on the Mission E specs and design.
350kw charging was reduced to 270
Over 300 Miles of range was reduced to EPA of 200ish for the Turbo & Turbo S at 192.

These numbers are not relevant to me, but it caused many deposit holders to cancel per a few Porsche dealers I speak to.

Perhaps in some cases it was just used as an excuse to cancel. Anyone who put a deposit down before Taycan (not Mission E concept) specs were announced was just reserving a place in line in case they wanted the new model at the time it comes out. Lots of time passed between the Mission E debut and first Taycan production car, so many things, including people's desires and circumstances, could have changed.

Once again, the OP was talking about their reasons for selling their production car. At the time of purchasing said car, the EPA numbers had been published already. We're not contesting your point here, that the reduction in range from the concept may have led to cancelations, but rather that citing that reduction as one of the reasons for selling the car is disingenuous.

Having said that, I wish OP good luck. There is no need for anyone to explain their personal vehicular (or otherwise) decisions - no minds will ever be changed, and doing so only exposes one to pointless criticism (right or not).

I’ve really enjoyed the ipaces that I’ve driven and like the clever packaging. But they seem even more supply constrained than the taycan right now
yes, there are almost no new Ipaces available which is a shame because it really is a great vehicle.

Going to be honest. This is the type of post I most feared reading.
Car is in Emden and I have been waiting 1 year to receive it. First time Porsche buyer and first time EV owner.
Don't worry. The smooth powerful ride, cornering like its on rails is out of this world. You'll love it.

But I agree with the OP and it reflects my previous car experience with all the premium car brands, including the not premium VW, I owned. The Taycan was the most expensive AND the worst in terms of quality. There is a clear mismatch and I just cannot get over it. But maybe I was just really luck with the few previous cars I owned. Who knows...

Next will be Merc EQs, not sure if the quality will be better, but if it does not rattle and its quite, I'd be already happy!

I think the numbers varied a ton with your usage. I was pretty much always at 300 miles during the summer with my 4S with the extended battery. I had 20" wheels and all season tires. That said, once the weather got colder, my mileage went way down. There were other things that caused big spikes in range, but for me I easily was at 300 during the summer.
I live in FL and do not have to deal with extremely cold weather, in the best of conditions I have never been able to squeeze more than 260 miles out of my 2021 4s with 20 inch tires.
the reality for me is getting more than 230 miles while driving 70-75 mph on flat roads in warm weather is my typical real world experience

I-Pace is the definition of value in the EV space.
I miss mine

Not true. I was one of the first to receive same. Porsche said it would get 320 miles with the 4s and larger battery. They claimed 280 when they actually did their release video. Then the epa numbers came out and Porsche scrambled to say those numbers were wrong. I never even got close to 280.
Please provide evidence of where they said that. They never said that about production cars. Only vaguely during the concept car phase. Porsche’s only official claims were the EPA, AMCI, and WLTP ratings. And again everyone knew from the jump that reality would be between EPA and AMCI, depending on wheels/tires and driving style. You should have done more research.

I get 225, 4S, Mission E wheels, summer tires, and driving like a nutter. Which is exactly what I expected, because, you know, I researched the car before I bought it.

Actually, when I put my initial money down for the Taycan (which was then unnamed), Porsche was promising 320 miles, software that read my eyes to do things like change settings, and a host of other things that they never actually delivered on.

@TC Fan : IMO, it’s not ugly at all, just Taycan lines/curves are without competition.
What about inside materials/assembly quality?
(And i’m affraid to ask, how’s rear camera view)
The rear canners is much better than the Taycan but duh. The inside is nice, it’s different. I paid for the upgraded leather in the Taycan which was nice but not worth it imo. I just liked the brown. The lucid has real wood, wool. Etc. it’s very different. Some things are plasticky, but so are parts of the Taycan.

Dude, I’m not going back to research out to make you happy, but they had all kinds of promises as part of the mission e. 320 miles was part of it. This was years ago. I’m sorry, but you’re incorrect. When they finally announced the name Taycan, that’s when they went to 280, bit I figured I could live with 40 miles. However, 80-100 miles from the original claim is just not acceptable IMO.
I’m glad you love your Taycan. I loved the way it handled, but if they don’t fix the software most of all,! Porsche will fail because they’ve bet the company on electric and they’re Not delivering.

Congrats on your (very) low consumption.
300 miles = 480 km... means average consumption 17,4 kwh/100km.... my average (after 24k km) is 19,1 kwh/100km, which is low as well.

Thx.
With upgraded leather you mean "olea"? I have it (truffle-brown) and I love it.
Speaking about lines: couldn't agree that Lucid has better rear... imo, Taycan is #1 from all angles.
Anyway: congrats on new car, interior looks amazing!
