Glad to see that more are arriving. My local dealer still has no arrival estimation for their first ones (one Turbo and one base) model).

Nice pics and congrats! Also choose 21" RS Spider, but still not decide yet between Mystic Green and Vanadium Grey...

Btw, any driving experience share?! It seems yours is base model which I would very like to learn what the driving experience is, other sharing on the forum seem mostly S model.

Very nice, I will go for that interior as well and am undecided on the Mystic vs Oak Green. The wheels look so much nicer than the configurator. I have the Sport Techno selected currently but they are expensive.

I would strongly recommend against Oak Green if you’re not choosing the Sport design package. In my opinion, it really needs the gloss black details for the whole car to come together. If you are opting for the Sport design package, though, I think it will look fantastic.

As for the Sport Techno, I’d really consider how much the 22” wheels are worth to you. From a comfort perspective, I personally wouldn’t choose them, but looks are, of course also important and deeply subjective.

Thanks a lot! I would personally check @CHP profile because he has a post describing everything about the base! I really agree with his sentiment.

Thanks for the comment, this is my spec currently - I am a big wheel fan

I was settled on a spec, ordered and then waited.... in that time I have changed colour, seats, wheels, model and spec! I needed to balance all the temptation that the configurator offers and I changed from a base with Sport Techno, to a Coupe S with 21" Spider wheels - seeing them on this car is very reassuring. Much better in the flesh.

I have the same colour and wheels, SportDesign package not really needed, standard dark grey blends really well (unless you want the splitted front spoiler). I would get RAS instead, lots of debate on Macan forum but like to think it's a must for Cayenne (car is long). I have no comparison but handling in the city is brilliant with no problems at tight 90 degree bends.

I agree with the comment above. If I were you, I'd skip the Sport Design Package and get RAS instead. The benefits of RAS are huge, especially on such a large car.

To be honest, even here in Sweden, with wider roads and less traffic, we can barely make full use of the base power. So if you're giving up options you actually want just to afford the S, I wouldn't do it.

In my opinion, the S only makes sense if you specifically want the Active Ride or PTV+. Otherwise, I think it's a waste of money. But that's just my opinion, everyone has different priorities.

Just driving a 911 GTS loaner as they are doing some ceramic coating. It's a proper race track car, looks amazing with incredible sound. For daily driving I clearly prefer the standard 911 I was driving last Friday. Suspension in Sport Plus is undrivable on most UK roads, and I am not speaking of potholes. And talk only comes at higher rev which are not achievable in the city. I think I did 12 miles per gallon 😂.

Thanks for the responses.

The RAS was one option I was concerned about dropping - I checked today with the dealers and Porsche specialist I know. He has driven both with and without RAS back to back and he said it was hard to tell the difference. I have had it before in an eTron GT but not in a Q7 - I never noticed the difference which is why I never spec'ed it here.... but, as you say, it is a big unit.

I was in a dealership today and managed to drive the base with 21s. It was stunning. The thing that jumped out at me was the performance. It was a short test drive but enough to get a feel for the base handling and performance. On UK roads..... it is more than enough. Very impressive, and super smooth over mixed road conditions.

I managed to get some shots of the Turbo as well in Oak Green with 22" Sport techno. Looks amazing and I agree on needing the Black trim. Personally I think that it could benefit from black wheels (which I normally avoid) to ground it more.

Thanks so much for the pic. First I have seen in my favourite colour!

Which dealer is that?
