CarPlay stopped working?

Ok this is a weird one, drove the car yesterday and CarPlay was working fine but this morning it’s not and when I check my phone in the PMC the Apple play logo his disappeared yet on all the other phones connected to it they are all OK and work perfectly. I have done everything, did all the Google searches to reset everything on my phone and when I sit in the car it if I go to the CarPlay on my iPhone it see the car but can’t connect as it keeps spinning. Anyone experienced this issue or anyone any idea to sort it.

Yes…. Same stuff with my previous taycan.
Just disable wifi on your iPhone and activate it again…

Nope tried that and didn’t work, it’s a weird one that might take a run to Porsche Belfast to see if they can sort it. The weird one is when you click on CarPlay on the iPhone you see the Cayenne there but it just keeps spinning trying to connect. Very disappointed in the tech on the new Cayenne, it appears that everything that was there on the old Taycan is the same on dressed up in a fancier suit, even my Lotus Emira never fails to connect and the same with the previous i5M60.

Are you alone in your car or does someone else is in the car with an iPhone that is also connected to the car’s PCM? I have that every time when wifey is in my car

On the PCM, forget your phone and do the same on the iPhone to forget your Cayenne. Then reconnect it.

On my own, drove last night collecting the wife and it worked perfectly as usual, went out this morning and nothing but the weird one is the Apple play is blanked out on the list of phones that can connect to the car, all the others are there with Apple play but mine it’s blanked out.

Already did that twice with no difference, even restarted the phone but again nothing doing.

This is getting even more bizarre, this morning I jumped in the car and carplay is back like nothing had happened. There’s zero explanation why this should be because I have done nothing more since I couldn’t get it to work earlier yesterday.

There is. It's a Porsche. Based on my own experience, I'd be worried if there wasn't random faults every other week with no explanation.

We had multiple issues with our Taycan but that was an earlier Mk1 and I assumed that several years later things would have progressed quite a bit but it appears not to be the case. Don’t get me wrong it’s a phenomenal car, drives better than an SUV I have owned or driven prior but some of the tech used IMO seems to be less well developed than its piers.

Maybe I'm being flippant and excessively critical, but my memory is of all three Porsches having frequent glitches. If there is something positive to be taken, the two Taycans had issues that were much more serious, such as refusing to boot up when I pushed "start" while queuing to board the Channel Tunnel, causing us to miss our train and be delayed for two hours. The Macan Turbo, my most recent model, had frequent issues, but they were always warning lights that disappeared the next time I started the car, so not as serious.

I'm expecting to be in my new Cayenne Turbo within the next two weeks, and I'm going into it expecting issues, but if I don't have any, it will be a bonus.

So far they have all been minor, the first which keeps reoccurring it the drivers wing mirror not always opening out fully and needing to be closed and reopened again, this has happened at least 9 times since getting the car at the start of September, the next isn’t a fault but more annoying is the auto lights which are IMO slower to react than my i5 and the box it blanks out is a little too high off the ground so at times I know I am definitely blinding oncoming traffic and then this CarPlay thing which did something else tonight, on the way home the sound became distorted with interference, I switch to the radio and back to CarPlay and it was gone. This one I will be watching because music is something very important to me in the car so if this returns or the CarPlay plays up again the dealer will be getting a call.

So far before delivery …I’ve concluded you should have at least 300mm cut off both legs for the seat issue ,get an android phone cause of carplay issues and not to wear rings while stroking the charging port flaps

I’m using a iPhone Air running IOS 27 and have no probs with CarPlay. Luminated67 I don’t suppose you use Spotify or Apple Music do you ? I use both and have widgets to use the in-car systems rather than my phone - only because it’s more convenient. I have 5g / 4g on my phone from EE and often the 4g Vodafone signal in the car is stronger.
