Hi, for those coming from the Macan EV, this will be very familiar. B-pillar unfortunately remains hard plastic despite being full size upper class SUV. Material can only be changed to leather with door sill package which is not recommended (door sill leather will wear fast and look unsightly). I really thought they would come up with a different solution for the passenger seatbelt buckle, but no, kind of same afterthought. Guess those of use who owned/own Macan, will notice more of these design fails carried over from Macan once delivered. Not long until first Cayenne being delivered to customers (first batch should be already on its way to entry port).

Other design fail from Macan EV carried over, no preparation for back seat screens. Come on, I like to think majority of us ordering Cayenne will have kids. It's going to be a challenge to attach iPads safely (think of crash).

I had a Macan Electric and the seat belt buckle annoyed me. When I test drove the Cayenne last week, I didn't have an issue with the seat belt rattling against the b-pillar.

Image is from Cayenne EV, belt loop similar to Macan EV hack so yes it should work but come on.

It’s a complete module including door sills. Not a deal breaker but softer material for b pillar would have been nice. Missing connector at the back of front seats for iPad is annoying though. I get it, more hassle for crash test but I like to think some of us are now struggling. I used the swan extension for cup holder, not ideal. Kids get creative and make it work but safety is not necessarily top on their list. Probably try suction pod build for full size camera.

Yes but the drivers side in the EU is the passenger side in the UK !
Not following.
The above photo was taken by someone in Norway from the rear left seat which is behind the driver so no loop.

babylou66 & pm4s - As you say, the buckle on the drivers side shouldn’t ever rattle as it should be clipped in as the driver must wear a belt. As the UK is right hand drive then the passenger seat belt is the drivers belt in the EU & US. Initially the Macan EV belt buckle on the left hand side rattled terribly if there wasn’t a passenger - after months, Porsche came up with a retrofit which meant the left hand buckle didn’t rattle against the pillar.

I thought it was the Germans striking back for the UK leaving the UK by ignoring the fact we drive on the left !

The picture with loop I posted was from UK config website. The in person picture seems from left hand drive Cayenne hence my confusion. The anti rattle hack may still be the loop. Most importantly, new Cayenne doesn't rattle. Time to get our new cars so we spend less time on the forum :CWL: .

Let’s hope most of the posts are positive and not as per Macan site - one peddle option, Tesla software / OTA ……
