Hi All,

I know there is a car wash more, but what if someone forgets to enable it, going into an automated car wash? Is the brush cleaning the bonnet going to open the front trunk? It would be a mess..

Thanks!

I don’t think there is a car wash mode on Porsches, I’ve personally never heard of it.

Personally, I would strongly discourage anyone ever using an automated car wash due to the risk of damaging the paint, but to each is their own. That said, I’ve never experienced any issue opening the frunk by accident while washing the car by hand.

Yeah, seems i was wrong about having a car wash more. Probably I have confused myself from some other car..

It seems Macan EV owners had issues with charging flaps opening during a car wash. I guess this xan be prevented if the car is locked, but this doesn’t apply to the frunk.

I haven't washed my car yet (water hose ban), but I am more concerned with automatic electric flaps. Had issues with previous Macan and accidentally power washed them. Guess I need to lock car and leave keys out of reach. Not ideal.

That may have been when washing the car by hand - same on the Taycan - as the powered doors will open with a hand swipe.
