I'm sure they'll have to take the battery out to get at the bolts for the b-pillars or something.

It looks pretty similar to the Taycan interior and I love the interior of mine. I have always found the Panamera cabin a bit overwrought when I've seen it in real life though.

They look similar but not built the same, in the Taycan there are still very questionable plastics all around (B-pillar, door handles, C-pillar etc). My Panamera feels more special and better built. But the way it drives makes me forgive it.

I can on mine, albeit a little awkwardly... Unlatch and then put my arm round the other side around the back. Could be better designed (side hinged maybe). But Porsche seem to like awkward cubbies (my 997 was the same).

What I find more irritating are the mirror controls being too far back in the armrest. I imagine short people don't think the mirrors adjust.

Ref the b-pillar, when I ordered one I spec'd the car to have racetex on the lower bit. My car doesn't have this and tbh I can see why when getting my fat arse in the car. I think racetex might wear badly there. Same in the back.

Needs a better textured/quality plastic, or possibly leather really.

Am not sure I'm missing physical buttons. The steering wheel scroll buttons are nice to use and control volume etc. The haptic a/c buttons are actually OK, and voice control works for that too.

My only complaint on the haptic screen is that it makes the interior a good candidate to look super dated not too long from now in the sense of the current time trying to anticipate what the future will look like. Kind of like KITT. I think the rest of the dash is great, so I would have preferred this Panamera look.

I really like this rear seat screen, I'd love this as an alternative to the useless tray and middle "seat" in the rear

Agreed that the steering wheel scroll buttons are good but for aircon I'd rather have a proper automation than physical buttons.

I had a BMW iX before Taycan and the only times I adjusted the aircon was one degree up for the summer and one degree down for winter (t-shirt vs long sleeve).
Outside of that never ever touched any of the aircon/seat heater/steering wheel heater because the automation controlling them is so good.

I have only adjusted temperature up or down a bit since I picked my Taycan up almost a year ago, otherwise been satisfied with whatever it was set at - presumably a default - when I drove the car out the showroom.

OTOH the only car I have ever "got rid of" because I couldn't get comfortable in - the seat gave me backache and the climate control default left a stuffy head and cold feet in winter which i never resolved was a BMW (an M3 in 1997).
That car wasn't bad as a car but too uncomfortable to use more than 50 miles.

The automation for the steering wheel is fine IMO.

For the a/c, like you I set and forget. Voice control works OK for any need to tweak.
