Its no surprise that people don't buy even their gas cars. VW went through heavy cost cutting to put more money into shareholders pockets, without investments cars look cheaper now and software sucks. The new nicely optioned Tiguan is not worth the price. I drove one recently and a LynkCo 01...
Started to drive my AMG GT and damn its so much more fun than powerful heavy cars which are good for straight line acceleration but when you hit mountain roads the fun ends, except the Taycan, it drives so well. That's why I'm not selling it yet, despite its issues.
I also looked at i5 but I...
Agree on this.
I think Porsche needed to beat the Model S 0-60 but because Taycan was heavier they had to use a shorter gear to extract more torque. If the battery could deliver more current they would have ditched the 1st speed.
Audi RS6 - test drove one last year and I was impressed by the ride comfort, better than my Panamera Turbo S, I guess RSQ8 is very similar. Best decision is after driving all of them.
VW is run by old-mentality managers, those must be replaced with fresh blood for the company to survive the electric and software transition.
Indeed they cut costs in the wrong place, their product instead in their operation.
The friend that I mentioned traded the M5 for Panamera Turbo S, my feeling was the M5 drives like a powerful sedan and the Porsche like a heavier sports car plus it looks more special.
Between base Panamera 4 and Taycan I would take the Taycan no doubt because chassis is so good that a Turbo/S...
What version did you drove, did it had PDCC, RWS?
I have the Turbo S and in Sport + is as fast as the Taycan Turbo except power delivery is not instant but I can drive it really fast for longer. Its luxurious and handles amazing for such large car, you can't compare it with A8 or 7-series, those...
Taycan handling ride comfort is better but Panamera is much more comfortable getting in and out, has soft close doors, better seats and I can drive it really fast without worrying about the range. The best thing is that it's more reliable, one fault in 2 years and ceramic brakes are more...
The V8 Panamera is a different story, a lot more power but the weak point is range and power in e-mode. The new model will have 50 miles of range and 200 hp e-motor.
They look similar but not built the same, in the Taycan there are still very questionable plastics all around (B-pillar, door handles, C-pillar etc). My Panamera feels more special and better built. But the way it drives makes me forgive it.
Indeed a slightly larger screen height would be better so we can see more things without scrolling.
At this point the Panamera EV shouldn't be more expensive than ICE equivalent. Turbo S yes its gonna cost $200k but who needs 1000hp, a 4S with 0-60 in 3.5 sec is more than enough.
A non...
Agree with your points, however it looks more luxurious and in the rear there'e leather everywhere you look, like a 150k car should be. Lower B-pillar is made off a better plastic in the current Panamera, in my Taycan it is very thin and moves when pressing on it. I don't understand why is not...
What you guys think of the new 2024 Panamera interior?
I love it!

I've watched the video, but I sort of find them biased and unbiased at the same time. They point out that is a "marvel of engineering" and that is "the MB of the 80s". Come on...
This car has lots of quality issues , and technical issues. MB was king in the 80s exactly for having those points...
I have both so I can add few things.
Panamera comes with metal, wood or carbon trim on the dashboard not shiny black plastic and on door panels as well. Doors have soft-close and stay open in any position you want.
The rear side bolsters are leather wrapped not hard plastic. I want to leather...
Higher trim and better built but surprisingly Taycan has a more luxurious ride and handles much better. Panamera is very expensive to service, I paid 3k euro for filters, oils, brake fluid and spark plugs, ripoff from Porsche I'd say.
Panamera feels faster because of the engine sound probably...
I still own a 2018 Panamera Turbo S Hybrid, very fast car in sport mode but in electric drive is underpowered for the weight. I mean its good for around town but boring at the same time.
In your case I'll take a regular ICE or if you can wait for next gen hybrids, they will have 50 miles of...
